Feel free to request any sculpt you wish. If sculpt is not provided (you can order one and have it mailed to me if you wish), then a down payment equal to the store price + $12-15 (shipping) is required prior to work. Once work has started, this is non refundable if the customer backs out.

I currently have the following blank sculpts on hand although this my not be 100% accurate:

    Griffin x 1
    Small dragon x 1
    unicorn x 1
    flap cat x 1
    phoenix x 1
    griffity x 1

(the following is optional, use as much or as little info as you want)
I do a lot of mixed media, but if you prefer only certain kinds, do let me know!

Keep in mind that ink can and will fade over time no matter what I do, especially when in the sunshine. I love how they turn out, but I limit my use of them now. If you would like ink stain, PLEASE ASK or I will NOT use it. Anything ink stained will get at LEAST 10 coats of anti uv directly over the ink prior to any other mediums, but alas it will still fade over the years if much slower than without. I have yet to try acrylic clear coating, but I think it is because of the way the gypsum absorbs the ink over time.

Type( of paint/materials used(e.g., acrylic, pastel, marshmallows, etc):
Acrylic, Archival Calligraphy Inks (full coverage or staining), gold and silver leafing,

Brand( of paint used (e.g., Golden):
Amaco Brush n Leaf, M. Graham & Co. Acrylic Paint, mediums and varnish, Daler Rowney metallic acrylics, and some other shades, Golden interference colors, Mod Podge Spray on sealant in matte, Krylon sealant, available in satin, matte and acrylic, Brush on acrylic sealant only in highly Glossy among other things. I also use pastels, pigment powders, do have photochromatic pigments and glow in the dark as well.

I will also happily find any particular brand or type you may prefer for me to work with.

Are pet portraits offered (when applicable):
Yes, all I ask is plenty of photos to work with. I prefer portraits on pyo’s as opposed to canvas though, I will try anything.

    Do you use an airbrush?
Yes, sometimes I airbrush, sometimes I do not, and sometimes I use a combination of things. Currently all of my metallic paints, I have to mix by hand using a metallic medium. Metallic colors will probably cost and extra 15-30 dollars based on how much I have to mix and how much I use. (This only applies to airbrushed and/or hand-mixed metallic colors. Any interference or met acrylics I already have on hand is not charged.)

Shipping method (e.g., double boxed): Pieces will be double boxed, in original box if possible, surrounded in peanuts, bubble wrap etc.

Shipping rates/insurance (Exact, or do you add a packing fee?): UPS or USPS any where in the US, with insurance. USPS only to Canada.

Ships to (US, North America, Woldwide, etc): Anywhere, but buyer is responsible for shipping and any duties required upon arrival.

Artist location (for shipping purposes): Idaho, U.S.

Other comments: New samples will be listed when I have them.

    Terms of Service:

Full payments must be made prior to shipment but after piece is finished. I reserve the right to withhold unpaid/abandon commissions and sell them to regain lost profit. If a payment plan is done, piece will not be shipped until payment is completed.

Payment: I accept Paypal and money orders, and can also sell through etsy if you would like to use credit/debit etc. No completed piece will be shipped until full payment including quoted shipping is received.

Prices: Prices are only an estimate and price will vary depending on complexity, technique and supplies ( Archival ink is pricey and kind of complicated and would therefore cost more..etc) and other factors. A quote would have to be decided and agreed upon prior to any payment or the beginning of any work.

Time: The actual time of completion may vary.

Shipping: The client is responsible for any and all incurred shipping charges. This means that i am not responsible for the shipping to send a piece to me or for me to send a completed piece to you, or any other possible fees that I would be incurred. All shipping quotes will include insurance and tracking.

Refunds: Refunds would only be given for any pieces that may arrive broken and otherwise NOT intact with proof there-of.

Wolf – two with Light Yellow eyes and one Blue

Phoenix – Light Yellow eyes, Orange eyes, Blue eyes

Keeper – Metallic Teal or Orange eyes

      PYO Painting Rates
Prices are in USD and dependant on complexity (banding, # of foundation layers, markings, etc) and include supply cost of each sculpture. Completion time is variable, but an estimate will be given. Any delays will be notified to the client.
“Supply Cost” is what it costs total for me to order said PYO that can be deducted from the price if you wish to provide your own. I do this instead of “painting only” prices to help you decide if sending me the PYO yourself is cheaper. My location is Nanaimo, BC.
Custom jewels or eyes will have their order cost added to the price unless supplied by the client.

Sculpture Price Range Supply Cost Complexity Samples
      Adult Foo $175 to $275
      w/ Pup +$50
      $68 Low | High
      Foo Pup $46 to $61 $23 Low | High
      Winged Bookend $???

$75 or $125 for set Low | High
      Griffin $150 to $250 $68 Low | High

      Unicorn $115 to $210 $??? Low | High
      Kirin $115 to $175 $54 Med | High

Mediums used: Golden fluid acrylics, mediums/varnish, interference, and Pearl-EX powders. Sometimes Elmer Painter Markers for UV reactive colors.
Are pet / character portraits offered? Yes! Turn around photos must be provided or I can loosely base a fantasy scheme off your pet or character.
Will you duplicate a previous color scheme you did? Currently not at this time unless I advertise otherwise in the classifieds or my facebook. I will take suggestions for PYO’s that haven’t been painted as previous themes, but as time passes I desire different ways to execute my designs.

Shipping method: Doubled boxed with original box and insured. Tracking optional.
Shipping rates: I can do regular or fedex postage. Exact rate can’t be determined until the sculpture is finished, but average 3lb package is $25-35 to the states.
Ships to: Worldwide – If other postage service is required for overseas I can adapt for you.
***If the parcel is not picked up and is returned to me by client’s mistake, the client must pay shipping again and the return cost (if any) if they wish to try again. Otherwise they may be refunded the cost of the sculpture and it will be put up for sale.

Payment/Processing Method: I prefer Paypal, but will take checks or international money orders if you can’t use it. Payment plans as low as $50 per payment are accepted, but require a $50-100 deposit to order the sculpt and start on it. If the client does not pay according to the discussed agreement and does not respond within two weeks of inquiring they forfeit their commission and will be refunded accordingly (see Refunds).
Do you take trades? Sorry, not at this time (I have no space left!)
Refunds: At any time can either party cancel the commission. If the client cancels or forfeits the commission midway through painting the PYO will be finished and put up for sale. The client will be refunded however much they had deposited once the item has been sold. If a concept was made based exactly on the client’s intelectual property (ie character), but not painted, there is a $25 concept fee. If already started I will do my best to edit the PYO to look different, but the client will not gain any royalties upon the sale.
If I, the artist, must cancel, the client will be fully refunded immediatley or postpone production until I am capable again.

Copyright: The color schemes are my intellectual property and by no means is replication by another person lawful. I have the right to replicate my own color concepts for sale unless otherwise discussed.
A color concept image is always privately presented for approval before painting begins. You do not publish or share this concept for it is infinging on Windtone’s copyright. If you cancel your order after this is made you do not have the right to use said concept for yourself or someone else to paint. Unless based on other intelectual property of the client, I have every right to paint it on my own accord and sell it.

Might as well throw my hat into the ring. 😀

        Artist Name: SPark

spark.costumes@gmail.com (always the best way to reach me.)

        Commission acceptance status: OPEN
        Trade acceptance status: OPEN

        PYO Painting Rates:
My rates all include the sculpture. (I live within driving distance of the Windstone factory, and shipping to me from there is pretty cheap, so there’s no reason I can think of to bother with having you purchase the sculpture first! If you do happen to have one already on hand, we can work something out, of course.)

These prices are starting prices, and some designs may cost more. Please contact me for a specific quote.

        Prices do not include shipping.

        Dragon (small)………………….$140
        Dragon (keeper)……………….$190
        Foo Adult………………………….$200
        Foo pup……………………………..$40
        Griffin………………………………$150
        Hippocampus…………………..$135
        Kirin (plain)………………………$120
        Kirin (fancy)……………………..$130
        Kitsune………………………………$75
        Kitty Griffin………………………..$75
        Flap Cat……………………………..$80
        Phoenix……………………………$140
        Unicorn……………………………$140
        Winged bookends(single)…$100
        Wolf…………………………………$130

Note that I do not paint muses, generally. I find them too complicated for anything but a stupidly high price. If you really want a muse, we can negotiate, but they’ll be more expensive than their size suggests.

Materials used: Everything but the kitchen sink. If you have preferences, just tell me, I probably already have whatever it is on hand. (My particular, unique specialty, though, is watercolor.)

Are pet portraits offered: Yes, with the understanding that it will never be a perfect likeness.

Shipping method: Always doubled boxed, of course! (Packing peanuts, not newspaper.)

Shipping rates/insurance: USPS priority, actual postage charged. I can add insurance on request, but I don’t add it by default.

Payment plans: I am super willing to be flexible about payment plans. My “standard” payment plan is half up front, the other half plus shipping after completion.

Payment method: I prefer paypal, but I also accept check or money order.

        Ships to: Anywhere.

        Artist location: Oregon

Other comments: I’m not a mind reader, so be sure to lay out what you want in the clearest possible terms. If you are super-picky, you may find it useful to color a template for me, or provide other reference images, I am a visual person, so visual references work better than verbal descriptions.

I am sometimes blindingly fast, and sometimes super-super slow. If the urge to paint hits, I can get things done in mere days, otherwise they may take months. If you’re the sort who doesn’t like waiting, I’ll be happy to agree on a deadline, and I am generally fairly good about meeting deadlines.

If you’re interested in a trade, my signature has a list of what I’m currently looking for. I also enjoy doing PYO swaps, so if you’re an artist, hit me up.

Mediums/brands of paint used: Golden fluid acrylics (including interference & iridescent paints) and DecoArt staining medium. Pieces are sealed using Golden’s brush-on gloss polymer sealant with UVLS (UV protection).

Shipping info: Since customer pays shipping costs, I am more than happy to ship worldwide. Pieces are shipped in their original boxes and double boxed with packing peanuts. Insurance and tracking are required. Pieces are shipped from Taos, NM.

Payment info: I accept USPS money orders and Paypal. I gladly accept payment in installments. I’m very flexible, and payment details for each piece are worked out on a case-by-case basis. The piece will be shipped once the final payment is received. If for some reason I finish the PYO much earlier than expected, and it puts you in a bind, the payment “due date” will of course be extended to accommodate you.

Completion time: The time it takes me to complete a piece depends on its complexity and my current work schedule. It can take as little as one week for an Interference Wolf or up to a few months for a Maltese Tiger Griffin. If you are looking for a quick turn-around on a commission, please ask first, as it may not be possible. Regardless, I will keep you updated on the progress.

Communication: I always keep the lines of communication open. Once I begin sending picture updates of your PYO, I switch to email communication instead of PMs (it’s just easier for sending pics). If for some reason you contact me and I do not respond within a week, something has happened. My laptop is broken, I’m in the hospital, etc. Chances are the email was simply sent to my spam folder and was lost. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO EMAIL ME AGAIN! If you still cannot reach me, please try a PM through the forum.

Other comments: Nothing is set in stone when I begin painting. It’s a very organic process, and the piece will constantly change depending on how well the colors start to complement one another and balance each other out (especially with the muse). If I feel something drastic is necessary to improve the piece, I will, of course, consult you first. After finishing a piece, I usually find it necessary to add extra detailing, but I will not charge for this (that’s just me giving in to my detail obsession… LOL). I put in a lot of work and hours on my pieces. You are going to receive a very nice PYO.

Feel free to PM me with any questions! =)

*I will not paint the Muse for commission. This is just personal preference.
**This sculpt is not available yet. So I have no pricing information at this time.
***Pricing is unique for this sculpt. Because its surface is super smooth, it allows for complex images to be painted on it. The higher commission price range is for more complex images.

Type of paint/materials used: Acrylics, Interference, color change/magic, Pearl-Ex Powders, standard synthetic brushes and toothpicks. I use brush on sealers that are UV resistant.

Brand of paint used: Galleria, Liquitex, Golden, Spaz-Stix (on request), color shift powder pigments and a small number of miscellaneous acrylics (Americana, etc).

Are pet portraits offered?: No. I view pet portraits as a potentially delicate topic and would end up being over obsessive with accurate detail.

Do you do duplicates of other’s commissions/paint schemes?: No. If you commission me, I will not duplicate your idea/paint scheme for someone else later on. I will not duplicate other artist’s paint schemes either. I will duplicate my OWN previously existing paint schemes. i.e. I would duplicate paint schemes like ‘Nebula’ or ‘Forests of the Night’ because they’re mine.

Do you do production piece repaints on commission?: No. I only do repaints for myself. However, I am willing to duplicate any of my repaint’s paint schemes on PYO pieces.

Shipping method: Double-boxed. Bubble wrap & peanuts. In the packaging I get the sculpt in.

Shipping rates/insurance: Tracking & insurance required. I use USPS or UPS and ship from the zipcode of 30809 (or 30907 for UPS). I will charge a flat rate of $21/item. If I do not use all the s/h money for shipping costs I will refund the difference. I had to raise the amount because shipping costs have gone up.

                Ships to: US & Canada

Artist location: Georgia (the state, not the country)

Other comments: I work with the eyes/gem stones that are provided by Windstone Editions unless it’s something I painted outside of a commission. If you want other eyes/gem stones, you will have to cover the additional costs. I usually enjoy painting what I want as a hobby so I accept commissions for the unique challenge and spare money. My painting speed varies depending upon my work/life schedule and complexity of the paint scheme. I will give a rough estimate of completion time when you contact me and describe what it is you want.

Payment Methods & “Terms of Service”: I accept Paypal. When you pay me, please use the ‘paying for goods/services’ option. I accept payment for commissions in installments if you want, just let me know you want to do that when you first contact me. Payments must be completed within a reasonable amount of time that we can settle on after your initial contact.

On all commissions there must be a non-refundable down payment. This down payment is sending me the sculpture you want painted or the cost of the sculpture + s/h. I always subtract the down payment from the total cost of the commission. So if you send me a sculpt straight from Windstone, I will subtract the amount on the invoice from the cost of the commission. If I will be ordering the sculpt, please let me know what color eyes/gems you want so I can get the correct ones! I don’t have spares!

I will send progress pictures to you via e-mail if you wish. Initially, these might look messy. I promise it’s not a disaster (so please don’t panic). It’s just the nature of how I paint with washes. If something happens, I will let you know and we can proceed from there. Also, if I finish ahead of schedule on a large commission I will patiently wait until the planned end of the installment payments. So don’t worry about that. The lines of communication are always open. If I don’t respond promptly (within a week) to e-mail, please PM me through the forum. If I still don’t reply, something has happened to me. Never hesitate to contact me with concerns.

Once full payment has been completed, I will ship the item/items and provide you with tracking information.

If you change your mind on a commission, I reserve the right to keep or sell it to cover costs. My finances can’t afford mistakes or changes of heart. Also note, any payment you send OUTSIDE of the down payment will be refunded if you choose to cancel a commission. I will also give a refund if the unthinkable happens and the sculpt breaks during shipping (but you must provide proof via photo). I will give a partial refund if the unthinkable happens and paint damage occurs during shipping (again please provide photo proof). Remember, the down payment is non-refundable.

I will not accept trades as a form of payment for commission. Trades are TRADES, not commissions and I will treat them similarly to the PYO Swaps (you get some small input but the result is mostly a surprise). With a commission, you’re paying me to paint you something specific (I don’t get as much free reign so it’s more expensive). For a trade, it’s more fun as mostly a surprise and because I have more free reign it’s cheaper.

Adding my name to the list! 🙂

                  Name: Rosanna P. Brost (‘Rosy’)

Artist Contact Info: You may contact me for commissions in a number of ways, but the best ways to contact me is either by email (blackfalcolf@gmail.com) or private message on deviantART (www.falcolf.deviantart.com.) You can also contact me here or on Tumblr (www.rosannapbrost.tumblr.com.)

Commission acceptance status: OPEN – I will take one commission at a time. I have other priorities, so I’ll be taking these on a case-by-case basis. 🙂

                  PYO Painting Rates:

All rates are in USD and include the sculpt. Rates do not include shipping!

                  Custom Eyes………….+$15

Please allow at least three months for completion; this accounts for the time it takes for the sculpt to ship to me and gives me plenty of time to paint it. Once I get a commission I make it my first priority, so depending on time of year it will probably be finished much faster than that. I will not work on commissions during the months of November and December due to holiday constraints. For custom eyes I buy blanks (‘flints’) from Van Dyke’s Taxidermy Supply and paint them with acrylics; these especially look awesome on ‘predatory’ sculpts like flap cats, dragons and winged wolves because I use interference paint on them. (It gives them that cool shadowy look that real predators’ eyes have!)

Note that I put interference paint and antiquing on pretty much everything. If you are ‘allergic’ to either, let me know, otherwise your piece will most likely have both. I also put metallic paint on pretty much everything too, but this ain’t optional haha. 😉

                  Type: Acrylic

Brand: I use a variety. Folk Art, Americana, Apple Barrel, Golden Fluid Acrylics (primarily interference) and Windsor & Newton Gloss Medium.

Pet Portraits: I have the right to refuse of course, but certainly, so long as you provide lots of reference images (the more you provide the more accurate I can make it!) and keep in mind that it’ll never be a perfect look alike. For references I absolutely require at least one very clear side view shot (with clear view of all four feet) and a front shot so that I can see facial markings. I also need to be able to see what the tail looks like.

Here are some examples of references that I consider good:

                  Side view:
                  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bay_(horse)#/media/File:Mangalarga_Paulista.jpg
                  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Shepherd#/media/File:GermanShep1_wb.jpg
                  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabby_cat#/media/File:Grey_classic_tabby_crop.JPG
                  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Paint_Horse#/media/File:Overo2.jpg

Front view (primarily a clear view of the face):
                  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persian_cat#/media/File:Shaded_silver_Persian_Cat_Missionhill_Cosmic_Rainstorm.jpg
                  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Shepherd#/media/File:DSHwiki.jpg
                  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabby_cat#/media/File:Kamee01_edit.jpg

For animals with complicated markings (spotted, appaloosa, pinto or paint) I require clear side view references of both sides of the individual. In this case a ‘butt shot’ would probably be appreciated too.

Shipping method: I ship Canada Post with insurance and tracking in original packaging, double boxed with packing peanuts. 🙂 Shipping is determined on a case-by-case basis via Canada Post’s website. I ship worldwide so long as you understand that it’ll cost more for me to ship to you if you don’t live in North America! (Which is why I don’t ship worldwide on swaps… I once had to ship a copy of my book to an obscure European country and the charge was, shall I say, quite painful.)

                  Artist location: British Columbia, Canada.

Other comments: I prefer painting naturalistic animal schemes (‘safari’ or ‘domestic’), but I’ll paint anything in a tabby/tiger scheme haha! 😀 (Especially on a dragon. Flame tabby? Sure! Purple tabby dragon? Heck yes! :D) I am happy to paint sculpts in schemes that I have used before although they will never be exactly alike to the first version. I am not really interested in painting schemes based upon plants but if the plant in question has interesting markings then I might consider it. I am also not really interested on painting things based on geology or forces of nature. I will not paint schemes based on characters in pop culture (Naruto, TLOZ, Pokemon) but I will consider painting schemes based on your own original characters, providing that you send me good reference material! (See pet portrait notes above.) I don’t like painting impressionistic stuff, sorry. I will consider painting stuff based on my own original species if you really want a falcolf schemed winged wolf or something. Please be clear about what your heart desires! 🙂

Payment and Terms of Service: I require at least 50% up front so that I can order the sculpt (this is non-refundable) and I will not begin painting until I have 100% of the commission fee. I require 100% up front on foo puppies. Due to the fact that it takes time for sculpts to ship to me from Windstone and I am financially incapable of keeping PYOs in stock at my house, I cannot rush orders so please commission me well in advance for gifts. I will not make any alterations of any kind to the sculpt and I do not do repairs at this time, nor repaints.

I prefer paypal but I will take money orders too. I do not take deviantART points!

Trades: YES!* I will gladly trade commission services for blank PYOs (since I can’t usually afford them otherwise and I LOVE painting these things.) I will also trade for pebble animals; especially AWD sitting foxes (GRAIL!), cougars, GB sitting foxes, GB bat eared foxes (especially AWD,) grey foxes, fennecs and GB lady cats. Hoppy poads are also pretty darn exciting for me. (Near-grail status.) I’d really like a baby dragon.

*Well, most of the time. Right now in particular I can’t really afford to buy any Windstones of any kind from the store, even PYOs (except for maaaaybe foo pups.) The only trade I can currently make is a commission in return for blank PYOs (you’d still pay shipping.) The weak Canadian dollar is making my Windstone addiction pretty unaffordable, sigh. Even a small dragon is like $75 for me with shipping… nope.
