Now that dates have been announced I’m in a quandary over whether or not to sign up. May 14 is when baby boy number three is due and I wonder if I’d be able to finish in time. What to do?

I’m on the fence. I want to get back into doing the swaps, but life had been so crazy, what with expecting my third boy in May.
So my manager calls me in and tells me I’m fired – four days before I put in my two weeks. They didn’t want to pay me unemployment for when the store closed. It was really unfair and I’m still unhappy.
Sorry to hear that too Celestial Rainstorm. Employers just suck sometimes! I can’t believe they would just fire people like that to avoid paying unemployment. That is so unfair. Were you on any kind of probation period? Because as far as I know I don’t think they can fire you with no notice unless it’s in like the first 3 months you have been there. If they had no reason to let you go, you could probably go back on them and claim unemployment.
Nope, no probation period. I had 2 write-ups for missing work due to mother’s chemotherapy, but that was it. Since the store is closing, I don’t think they’ll do anything about it. I’m too tired to pursue it, I just hope I find another job soon.
Regarding termination from a job with no reason, it depends on what state you live in whether an employer can do that or not. In Alabama you can be terminated and the employer say nothing more than we no longer require your services.
My whine — I wish this “old friend” would leave us alone. We have nothing but pity for her, but she has so many issues she can’t or won’t see it. She called at 1 am tonight. WTF? She knows we work and have kids so why the heck is she calling at this hour?

They still have 10 of these guys in the store, so I’m not sure how popular it was.
Seems like the mother and baby were popular in this color but not the male. It seems like the male pegasi are less popular overall versus the mother and baby sculpts. I have this guy and I think he is gorgeous!

I know everyone is on the grab-bag and/or color-shift trains lately, but I for one would rather see more regular production pieces added to the catalog. The hoofers haven’t had any new colors released lately.
I don’t like the Snow White and Jet Black on the unicorns. They seem so flat to me. I guess it’s because I was spoiled with the original Black and Whites with all the shading. And the Opoponax and Black Pegasus always seemed off to me, so I’ve only ever gotten the baby in Opoponax and it’s never grown on me.
I’ve never liked albino so that knocks new kirins out of options for me. I’m not sure what would look good. I remember there were a few ebay colors that looked nice, but can’t think of color names right now.
Gothics haven’s seen anything since March and June of last year.
I realize part of the problem with the unicorns and kirins probably has to be horns, but what about the pegasus? There’s now horns or pewter there since the hatching pegasus baby was taken out of production.
How about a black with blue and violet wings (like the old black griffins and flap cats) or a slate/silver grulla for the pegasus family?

Same here. :/ Don’t know if I could have convinced hubby to let me spend that much though. Considering that there were only 26 according to the blog, I didn’t stand a chance.
Aside from windstones the major “active” collections in the house are books, movies and cds, though due to space limitations there haven’t been many physical books or cds added to the collections lately – just digital versions.
Collections that don’t grow any more include several from my childhood including: porcelain dolls, non-windstone unicorns, 80s mlp & barbies.
