I have full faith in the windstone family to make whatever decisions are necessary to prevent things like this in the future.
This =) I don’t think this needs to resort to anymore anger or hard feelings. I just, quite simply, would like a fair chance. As everyone should receive, who enters these little contests. If our voting methods need to change, that may be the solution. (the email method kiya kindly brought up before perhaps, or a judging panel, or some other idea yet to be come up with)
And if the quest l’eagles and the windstone gang say they are working on it. We should give them a chance to try to fix this mess without making it more difficult for them. *steps off soap box* lolThis was a competition I kinda thought the windstone crew might want to judge anyway. Since they are the ones who know what they can paint as a real design and what they can’t. Some of the designs that have been limited editions are quite elaborate (ocelot griffins come to mind since they are quite recent). But I would have thought that since the windstone folks got to pick the finalists, if they couldnt paint it, they would not have picked it for the final round lol.
Personally I have pretty much given up hope of any sort of fairness for this particular quest. All you have to do to see why is count the digital votes vs the traditional votes >.< My main hope at this point is to find a way so we can perhaps make the next one have a more level playing field. You can't kick a field goal with a mountain in the way =)Sounds like it would cut quite a bit of that out to me lol. Though it makes a ton more work for you. But other than having a judging panel or making the poor overworked windstone crew judge, it seems like one of the better ideas.
I wish I could fight fire with fire lol. Kinda hard when you don’t do facebook or any of the other social network type sites though. Maybe next time I will just see if I can help the l’eagles somehow >.<
I think these quests are a great thing, and really want them to keep going. But my head is going to explode if I have to compete in popularity contests =)Dont take me wrong hun, I am not saying you guys should have to police the internet. And I am not complaining about how the competition is set up. Truely I am not “complaining” at all per se. I am just rather dissappointed that some people would resort to such measures to win. I really thought the spirit of competition and integrity of everyone here was much higher.
I just felt strongly enough about this I had to say something. Normally I probably would just sit and be quiet, but this sort of thing has always left a rotten taste in my mouth.Facebook….
I thought this was a coloring contest. Where design and rendition had something to do with it. How disappointing.
Definately not a smooth one! If it is a smooth paintable globe, I would rather have it as is =) But something with pattern on it…Something like these. Without the inner balls, and a bit simpler if need be?
It depends on if we have to find a globe or one is sculpted in *shrug* A paintable, textured glabe would be awesome. A plain little stone ball doesnt appeal nearly as much to me. So if we have to find little stone globes to put with it I would rather have both feet down =) But if she is going to sculpt one in…. 👿
