I have some feedback/suggestions/concerns for the new Classified Ad section, which I’ve been exploring today.
* Classified ads no longer show the ad type? It doesn’t show next to/with the ad on the My Listings page, the Classifieds page, or the ad itself! I’m trying to delete a duplicate ad – it had expired because I wanted it to go away, but in the transition my other ad expired, too. I want to revive only the correct one, but I can’t tell the duplicate from the original, because the only difference was that one had been posted in the wrong section and that’s no longer indicated anywhere in the ad that I can see!) And unless I’m overlooking something, even when in “Edit Ad” there appears to be no place to select the category!
* HTML has been lost, too – the ads which had html-encoded images no longer contain the HTML, even in a disabled state; it’s been eaten. This means I don’t know which pictures I had in which ads!
* Price shows in every ad, even “wanted” and “trade” ads, which is really distracting visually (especially since everything appears as $0.00 right now) and wastes a lot of space in the list view; could trade/wanted ads instead display “TRADE” or “WANTED” there? That would help.
* Ads no longer show the poster’s name in the list view, either, which is slightly frustrating. (I’m a frequent browser, so I tend to keep track of “have I seen that one already, or should I open it?” by usernames.)
The forums themselves seem to be great; I haven’t caught any bugs or weirdnesses there – though I haven’t yet tried to PM anybody – and they look good… even better, they are 1000% FASTER YAY! \o/ And I haven’t once had to stop a stalled-out page and retype my response, only to discover it had gone through despite the stall and now I’ve double-posted! Congrats to Clay and the Windstone Team!

Here is the dapple who arrived at my doorstep!
Sorry for the poor photo quality; it must have been sunnier than I thought when I took these. I’ll try again tomorrow, weather permitting.

Oh so pretty. Your an incredible artist.
Aww, thank you! I’m basically self-taught, so that’s really nice to hear. 🙂

Wow, your collection is looking good! You have some really nice pieces – and some gorgeous families! (And I’m swooning with envy over that bookshelf unit!!)
Having to save is no fun, is it? I’m in the same boat; thinking about buying a house means that suddenly I can’t drop money on Windstones without a second thought, after years of pretty extensive collecting. Hopefully the weird feeling will go away soon… along with the need to pinch pennies. 🙂
Best of luck with your school! What are your majors?

Well, I ordered one!
I’m hoping for something in the grey-silver range, but would also be really happy with that rich bay in the first photo; I have a huge weakness for red bays!
I guess I’ll find out in a few days. 🙂

This is pretty much how I feel – there have been several Dreamscape-esque production and LP colors already. (To me, it just looks like a supersaturated Peacock.) Pretty, definitely, but I don’t really feel that it’s bringing anything new to the table. I probably wouldn’t buy any pieces in Dreamscape.
Not to be a downer or anything! If it does get produced, I’ll be happy for the people who wanted it, and will just take it as a sign that my wallet should get a rest. 🙂 I just figure it doesn’t hurt to provide feedback from the other side of the question…
I agree with Prezaurian that Fire Berry seems more unique and stand-out. I’d be really tempted to pick up a Fire Berry Lap Dragon, even though reds aren’t my favorite color schemes – Fire Berry is different enough from past reds to be striking and really exciting!
While I would love to squeak for an LP of Dreamscape (gorgeous color scheme), someone mentioned earlier that there have been a lot of cool colors released. I thought about that and they’re right. I’d like to see an LP of Fire Berry. A warm color would nice to see, so I will squeak for that instead.

I can hardly believe that you freehand-sculpted the missing bits; they look perfect! Awesome job. The new paint matches very well, too!
Good luck with applying the gold!

Wow, I haven’t visited this thread since last year?
My most popular sculpt is still Lap Dragons; I’m now up to 12 of them! (If anyone wants to see them all gathered together, the Conga thread has pics of 11 of them!)
The numbers have shifted slightly since I last posted; the new rankings are:
12 Lap Dragons!
4 PYO Kitty griffins
3 Old Warriors (+1 Prototype OW)
4 PYO Griffins
3 MalesThe Council of Lap Dragons: Brown, Ruby, Sunrise #4, Gold, Emerald, Emerald-Peacock, Blue Morpho, Tanzanite, Lavender Rose #1, Black Violet-Peacock, Silver, and White!
The Muster of Males: White, Old Green, & a gorgeous repainted fellow called “Black Opal.”
The Old Warrior Retirement Community: White, Emerald, Obsidian Frost, & (prototype) Black Violet-Peacock #13.
The Kitty Griffin Committee: Seal Point Siamese, Blue Point Siamese, Chocolate Point Siamese (all painted by me) and Barn Owl/Dilute Tortoiseshell (painted by Siberakh1).
The PYO Griffin Flock: Teal, Swallowtail Kite, Golden-naped, and a blank still awaiting inspiration. 🙂
More generally, my collection is dominated by dragons; predominantly Western, with a trio of Orientals. I have around 30-40 Westerns. (No coiled/curled dragons.) In second place is the griffin flock, with around 10-15 members (counting PYOS). My only hoofers are Kirins, a mere 5 of them, so they’re tied with Pebbles for 3rd place.
If PYOs are counted separately, they’re in 2nd or 3rd place, as I have 8-10 of them.
Edited on 6/19/16 to include my latest edition!

I guess this is sort of a question too.
Tonight when I was putting my new pieces away I realized that I have many many boxes. 15 so far.
Now two are really easy as they have the full name of the piece on them.
But GB pieces just have GB edition on them… they don’t even have a year. Now I have 10 fishy fat cats and while I think 2 might go on to new homes… I can’t remember exactly which boxes they came out of.
How do other collectors keep them sorted?!
I put a sticker with the specifics on the bag that was around the sculpt! So if I’m in doubt about a box, I open it up and take out the bag, and the sticker will say “Standing Baby Kirin, Blue-Eyed Albino” and I’ll know. 🙂
This helps me a lot, because some of my pieces came to me secondhand and don’t match what their box says! (I don’t own a Sitting Griffin Chick in Black, but I have a box with that label. The bag inside, however, says it belongs to my Sitting Baby Kirin!)

Come to think of it…I have nicknames for my lovebird poads shown in my avatar. Murrisch and Maussade, German and French for GRUMPY 😛
Bwahahaha! It’s true, though, poads do have a grumpy look to them, especially the adult ones.
I only name the PYOs I paint (the ones I get from other artists also have names), but most are more descriptive, like Cloisonné, Pleins feux, Tarnished brass, Zebracorn, Brocade… the only actual first names that I gave were to the horse “portrait” I did on a unicorn (I gave it the horse’s name) and a kirin with a crooked horn.
Ha! My PYOs tend to get descriptive ‘names’ rather than personal names, too. I’m glad I’m not the only one! 🙂
PYOs with descriptive names: Gold Koi Dragon, Gold Koi Keeper, Seal Point #1, Blue Point #1, Chocolate Point #1, Young Silver Dragon/John’s Dragon, Blue & Gold Dragon/Laura’s Dragon, Swallowtail Kite, Colorful Griffin, Copper Plum/Copper/Purple Copper/That Darn Screwup/Finish This Thing Nightcrow/Penny Plum.
PYOs with other names: Sirius (Winged Wolf inspired by a Harry Potter character), Avifelis auranucha (white and gold griffin, whom I gave a Linnaean scientific name because I like the idea of it being a specific griffin species; it’s the Golden-Naped Griffin.)
I don’t know what I’ll end up calling the Kitsune I want to paint in my dog’s colors, but probably not the dog’s name. Maybe Sumishiro? (literally ‘black-white’)

Most of mine aren’t named, but a few are!
The ones who have names are:
Valkyrior (Black Violet-Peacock test paint #13, Prototype Old Warrior) – His colors remind me of the aurora borealis, so I went looking for an appropriate name. I found an old legend that linked the aurora to the Valkyries who brought great warriors to Valhalla; valkyrior is just the plural form of valkyrie. 🙂
Taishou (Peacock Sun Oriental) – a Japanese emperor’s reign name, meaning “Great Righteousness.” As the largest and most magnificent of the Orientals, the SO is ‘great’ in comparison to the younger members of the family!
Shouwa (Peacock Oriental) – a Japanese emperor’s reign name, meaning “Shining Peace.” (I was born in Shouwa 57!)
Heisei (Peacock Young Oriental) – a Japanese emperor’s reign name, meaning “Peace Growing.” Since the YO is the youngest member of the Oriental family, it’s a name that combines his older relative with the idea of ongoing growth.Echo (Grab bag Sitting Red Fox) – Echo came to me from another forum member, and the name came along too! Now I need a name for my other SRF… 😀

I was also wondering about the kirins and unicorn colts. I am also still hoping for copper patina baby dragons too. Even if there aren’t casting issues now, could the babies still be painted to match the other copper patina pieces?
I’m with you guys! I’m really hoping for standing kirin foals in the original brown & white… and for Copper Patina Lap Dragons. (Preferably the bright “version 2” CP that can be seen on the griffins in the store!)
Also for the sculpts that haven’t appeared in Lavender Pearl yet.

How about Rubble Ponies? When I hear Cobble I think of cobble the verb, not cobble the noun…..
I dunno, when I hear rubble, I think rubbish. (Rubble is usually discarded or worthless material – the stuff left at a construction site, or after a disaster has struck!)
I think Cobbles/Cobblestones is growing on me (though yep, like you, I do tend to think of the verb as well as the noun) – I also like the idea of something like “Elements” or “Simplicity” (so ‘Pony Element,’ ‘Elements: Pony’ or ‘Pony Simplicity’ etc.), along the lines of Natashavonlemke’s suggestions.
…Or hey, what if they stayed Pebbles, but the sculpt was the Cob? So it would be the ‘Pebble Cob’ = I can’t find any Stone Pebbles sculpt(s) that are called that!
