Each pair of dilute/non-dilute Kitty Griffs I’ve painted has a slightly different wing pattern, to sort of unify them as a set, so I’m glad to hear that it worked for you!
(Fun fact: the dots were not what I originally intended! I somehow got a blot of copper on one primary feather and didn’t notice till it had dried, and that inspired me to put dots on all of them!)

My second Kitsune! I finished this guy months ago, but forgot to take any pictures because I had to wait so long to seal him.
I wanted to do a combination of fantasy and realistic coloration, so he’s patterned after a Red Fox ([i]Vulpes vulpes[/i]) but in ultra-metallic hues: brilliant copper, pearl white, and metallic black. I think he came out pretty cute! My photos came out less vivid than his true coloring, and it’s hard to see the metallic shimmer on his black and white areas, unfortunately.

Oh, I don’t know … it could be worse. Typing that the Sunrise Lap sold for $90 when the actual price was $900 is an error. Missing a Sunrise Lap that really did sell for $90 would be very, very, very bad luck!
That is true! I already have one, but for $90 I might just have to get a second one! 😛

I’m not having any luck on the Windstone grail front at all! Nothing I want is popping up Ebay or the Classifieds at all. (Even if it did, with the prices Windstones have been pulling lately I wouldn’t be able to afford them! Did you see that Copper Patina griffin that sold for $600? And the Sunrise Lap that sold for $90!? WOW.)
Fingers crossed that other Forum members are having better luck than me on their Windstone hunts. 🙂
What a typo – that should say “$900” rather than “$90” in that last sentence! Quite a difference. 🙂

The PYO frog is cute, but I’d rather have Frog Princes painted by Melody… I need a blue frog with a silver crown to be the younger brother to my original Frog Prince. After all, every monarchy should have an heir and a spare, right? 🙂

For the middle group, what about Lava Tiger or Tiger’s Eye? They look like a combo of flowing lava, tiger stripes, and tiger’s eye or banded jasper!
The first group is making me think ‘beaches’ for some reason… Tropical Gold?

If you have enough things that are completely mismatched, at some point it becomes a pattern in and of itself! 🙂 (Or so I tell myself, looking at my own motley griffin flock! One Blue Morpho male, one Black Sunset female, one Copper Patina female, one Wolf baby, one Silver Wolf baby, and three PYOs in various stages of ‘finished’….)
