Weird! Try clearing all your personal data from your browser and click again? Depending on the browser you use, it will store internet data in temporary areas of your computer. Mostly this includes images, so that it doesn’t have to load them each time. If the last time you accessed that part of Melody’s gallery was before she uploaded new pieces, the URL may be the same, but for a different gallery page, but your computer thinks it’s still the old one. Kinda confusing, but computers always are!

Thanks, that was it! I get the right picture in the gallery with that link now… πŸ˜€

I was thinking along those lines too.

At any rate, I hope they do decide to sell some via the direct sales page soon!

    I don’t think I like that storage solution! πŸ˜†

But a private collector that pays $1000 for a piece? They should def keep the box. Really…how many $1000 pieces does the average collector have laying around? Not too many. Should not be hard for them to keep a box or two… or ten.

    Or forty…I think that’s about how many I have now… πŸ˜†

I’m getting there quick myself. I’m going to stop collecting for awhile after I get the griffins and mermaids. Then I will take a final tally. It will probably be mid-thirties.

So you guys are also keeping all of your original boxes? Do you have a creative way of storing them? The drawback is that they do take up quite a bit of space…

Ah yes – other question for the other forum members: If I sold PYOs on E-Bay Airmail shipping would be about $40. How scary is that? I assume very – another damper to getting more PYOs.

I wonder if there are Windstone fans in Switzerland who frequent Ebay? Then you wouldn’t need to worry about the high shipping fees…which I think might be intimidating for buyers overseas. Though as Cheryl mentioned, I would pay the high shipping fees if it was an artist/piece that I really liked…

That is SO COOL!!! πŸ˜€ It actually looks really pretty…I think you should try and preserve that look in your paintjob somehow….^_^ You’re in good company – I heard somewhere on here that Melody once did a PYO in condiments…I wonder what that one looked like!

    He looked like this!!

Eh? When I click on the link I get the emperor dragon anatomy sketches (file 49 in Melody’s gallery)… ❓

Secret Keepers are on hold as far as I knowl.. indefinately. They haven’t fixed the weight issue, because as it stands if they ever have them returned they end up losing money on them due to shipping costs.

Do you know if this actually is a problem for the big Rock Dragon as well, even though its already in production? I think that piece is almost as heavy as the Secret Keeper…its at least 30 lbs…

Its good to hear that you’re OK over there. And that you have an attack emu! πŸ˜†

in reply to: Im curious what was your best and worst Windstone buy? #509180

That’s completely incomprehensible to me. And I would think that only a collector would pay that amount for a piece, so I’m really surprised that it was packed the way it was…

Grocery bags?? Eeek! It makes me nervous to read about it… 😯

Hmm…they might turn off the lights and hide in the back when they see the mob descending… πŸ˜†

in reply to: Im curious what was your best and worst Windstone buy? #509175

The best bet is to always pack everything so that it can’t be broken unless the box is destroyed…but alas, not everyone does that…

Awww…Keplilly got it first. I knew someone would. Congrats, Kep. Good buy.

Yes, I resisted as long as I could. My credit card is going to cry on me. πŸ˜₯

Congrats Kep! You’re so lucky to get one of the first 10. I had emailed the seller last night to ask if it was one from that first batch, and she actually replied last night…but I would pick that one night to go to bed early! πŸ™ So by the time I saw the seller’s reply this morning you had already bought it. I’m glad he has a good home though! πŸ™‚

Actually, that is one of the main reasons/incentives for why I went for it. I saw that question and his answer that it was from the first lot. I really wanted one of the darker brown ones. πŸ˜€

Me too…but I’m happy for you! πŸ™‚ And its nice that she’s “in the family”, so to speak…
