I live in IL too (far western suburbs of Chicago), and we got a Subaru Forrester last year to replace our aging (1996!) Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Beast was a good car, but we were putting too much money into it. I haven’t actually been serious car shopping. My Father-in-law came up and went to the dealership with my husband. The guy is a shark when it comes to car buying. Between the two of them, no one can push them around, so we got a good deal. As much of a pain it will be, you will feel better about having a safe car in another month or so!

During the summer at the farmers market, we’ve got The Olive Guy. A couple dozen different types of olives, his own pita bread, hummus, and pickles too. My daughter loves him because he always offers samples of his stuff and she loves olives and pickles.

I LOVE the fox! I also like the tinge of green and yellow in the eyes of the birds. Very cool.

Well I finally was able to order some tadpoads so it will be exciting to see what I get. The only thing is I have to wait a week now.

My traveling Florida box arrived today unexpectedly and I ended up getting triple twinsies (all of which are absolutely lovely but don’t completely sing to me). All are available for trade! 🙂 I’m interested in trading for other natural or hoppy tadpoads (or will trade several for larger gb’s that sing to me). 🙂

My random draw prize came today! A gorgeous unicorn colt! A lovely buckskin with pinto markings and purple jewels. Also a COA signed by Melody and notated as the Quest 19 Random Draw Prize.
