Amazing! As everyone has been saying, the natural colors do look fab on her, but I bet she’d look nice in a wild fantasy color scheme as well! I better start clearing up some shelf space here… any idea on when they’ll be ready for the store?

Something… I don’t know what… has definitely met it’s untimely end… somewhere in my ceiling… Oh god… the smell… is VILE!
So sorry, that is no fun. At least it’s not 100+ outside yet. We had a cat die in the car and get all tangled up when we started it, had it jacked up and took off the front wheel to dig him out and couldn’t get him untangled. Ended up bagging the parts we could see in a scented trashbag and towing it to the first car place that agreed to get up in there and get him out.
If it’s coming out of vents you can jam a bunch of fabric softener sheets in the vents, it can help a little but nothing really covers that smell. Here’s hoping for an unseasonable freeze in your neck of the woods!
Copper body, the scales are the color change style and transition from the reddish purple to blue and that’s about it. Very bland in comparison to the ones pictured for something so flashy. Its actually the one in the store photo in second from the top row directly in front of the one with the leafy mask on it’s face. The eyes are a pretty, almost golden melon color, but that’s about all I liked about her.
Also one of my favorites! Any pics before she was banished to her box? 🙂
I know compared to some, my five years on the forum isn’t much. However, it has been my experience that, though perhaps not as prevalent as we are experiencing it now, occasionally there is some negative gossip or grumping going on that gets locked down by a mod. And the theft and scams, also, are not new. That negative feedback list didn’t spawn over night; scamming has been an ongoing issue.
Perhaps there was this golden age of the forum where everyone wore a halo, but I guess it was well before my time. Dealing with the public is always messy, and overall, this is a very friendly and tame community. Look at all the fun and FAN-tastic posts and threads that are humming with activity. Weigh that against the bad.
And perhaps on a brighter note, I think we are a lot larger today? It feels to me like we have many new and newer people, a lot of posting and fun conversations, and also just a ton more content on the forum. And so, yes there are problems, but we might be looking at it disproportionately. Maybe the negative experiences and comments appear common or more prominent because we’ve grown into such a mighty hoard with so many people interacting? Someone more mathematically inclined than I should statistically analyze the dates and frequencies of locked threads.
That being said, it would be totally sweet if we could kick repeat offenders, either scammers or repeat (and previously warned) content violators, off the forum for good. 0:)
Got mine and I love him! I thought I wanted a darker one but he changed my mind. He is impossible to photograph, it looks like blue and purple color shift but then it’s looks like a real warm purple and I swear I saw green. His toes are green too! Tons of sparklies!

Thanks for the update! I was checking my phone all day, it’s good to have a ballpark idea of when, think it will tomorrow or later this week? I can’t wait for these guys!
Finished my tax return like a good lil early bird and with my refund I think I’m at my goal for my trip to Japan…as long as that yen stays weak! Yeah, and as long as I can not spend it on Windstones…hmm, that might be hard.
Now if only Windstone would enforce known scammers contacting people. More people have been ripped off by scammers who offer to trade and then don’t send their end than anything else.
We can’t police private transactions. If someone is scamming people through use of the forum (or Classifieds, PMs, etc) then we (or, John) may take action to remove that member. If this is happening, please write to John directly with evidence. He has the final say. If several people have problems with an individual, that also factors into the decision as it becomes a trend instead of one case where sometimes miscommunication or personality conflicts occur. I know it’s not fair to place the proof of burden on the victim of scams, but because these trades are happening in private and with no records (paypal, etc) it is very hard for anyone at Windstone to do anything unless there is solid evidence.
PLEASE, please let the buyer beware. Check the feedback list.
However, something I think I’ve seen and what may become a more common thing, is people on the negative feedback list using multiple forum names and accounts. Is there a way to link multiple accounts to the IP address and display that, like LupusLunae (1/12) showing my ip has 12 Windstone accounts (I don’t, this is an example)? And if it was just family using the same connection, that’s nothing, you could communicate that simply, “o yay, Lupuslunae111111 is my significant other/child/sibling whatever”, and the buyer would also see that that account ALSO has no negative feedback… Assuming they don’t have rotating IP addresses =P
Is anything like that possible on the forum side?

That’s what those wonderful feedback lists are for. I’ve been asked to participate in a transaction by someone on the negative feedback list, and I declined and suggested that they resolve the issues with their previous transactions first.
