Me too. Your wolves are very nice Watergazer.
Very nice. His face and neck/shoulders area are beautiful.
Wow, that is insane. I feel really bad for that dog and I never knew that a possible pine cone shortage could cause that kind of ferocity (I’d like to believe that explanation instead of them being a gang of killer attack squirrels). A helicopter needs to fly over and drop an emergency supply of pine cones on that forest!!!
I’m glad you and your property made it through ok, sorry about the Koi though 🙁
I like the stripe going from his head to his nose.
Welcome 🙂
Hmm, to many things to remember but a few are:
Bare Escentuals makeup and a Windstone Hatching Tortoise to my little sister. The Shield DVD box set and Advent Children Cloud action figure to my older sister. Season 4 DVD of Family Guy plus accessories for his XBOX 360 for my little brother. Interference paint and new paint brushes plus a classic popcorn maker for my older brother. A Coach purse (a few people chipped in for that, they are expensive!!!) and a Disney Classics figurine of Lady from Lady and the Tramp for my sister inlaw. A Coach purse for my brother’s girlfriend (once again, a multiple person gift). My boyfriend has just gotten out of the hospital so he hasn’t recieved his gifts yet but one of them is a designer knife and fudge (he loves fudge).
My brothers and sisters and I all pitched in money and got my mother gift certificates to Loews and Homedepot. Plus, she’s always wanted to have her kitchen redone but never had the funds and manpower so we dedicated every Tuesday night for the rest of the year to working on it for her.And I love giving more than receiving. I usually never give someone something they have on there list, but instead, something I know they will appreciate.
I’m a little late to this thread, but Ski, the unicorn looks beautiful. Great job.

I like the hatching emperor better too. I love his clutching hands and open mouth. He hasn’t even hatched all the way and you can already tell from his pose that he is about to annoy his parents.
Congrats on the airbrush.
I’ve never painted an entired PYO with an airbrush, just used it on little areas to achieve a faded effect so I won’t be able to give you many tips or expert advice. I have used it on a few resin horses though.
If you have never used one before, definitely practice a lot on something you don’t mind messing up a bit on. Good thing about painting with an airbrush is as long as you don’t spray to thick to fast, you’ll be able to keep practicing on the same piece (or repainting a flubbed paint job on your final piece) because the airbrush’s thin layers lets the statue retain much of the detail even after many coats.
This advice comes from my own personal preferences but you might find another technique better. I like building the intensity of a color through several passes of the airbrush instead of trying to spray it on thick and dark immediately. This lets the statue keep much of the detail so there isn’t accidental pooling and also lets me control the color intensity on the edges of that layer with more ease. Also, I paint the color/s I don’t want to take precedence (or feel receded) first in the layers and the ones I want most prominent last and build the layers inbetween accordingly. Although this may seem like obvious advice, with the airbrush it requires doing some planning beforehand because nothing is more fustrating to me then when I decide at the last minute I want to add a new color “inbetween”. Grrr… possible, but I end up reaplying some of the top layers again.
Good luck, and sorry I wasn’t more helpful. I’ve owned mine for a little under 10 years but use it infrequently. I’ve always modified my techniques through trial and error with no real training. I’m interested in hearing how others airbrush their PYO as well as how Melody does the production pieces so I can learn some new techniques and have some professional advice.
I got a black/gold lap dragon 🙂 I love it.
A little late, but Merry Christmas to you too!Well, I got a lot of presents because I have a large family so I won’t list it all, but I did get a Windstone from my parents: a black/gold lap dragon!!! It is gorgeous!
Funny, my brother got me a resin pegasus to paint that just so happened to be the one SPark mentioned in another thread. I’ll admit, the detail on it is incredible. He also go me some new pieces for my airbrush to help me along in the process.I was wondering how your wolves are coming along Ladybrooklyn? I think your pastel method probably looks great on them so I’d love another peak.

Don’t kill him!!!!
It was an accident. That little bunny doesn’t understand the value of materialist objects. Consider them battle scars! 😀Ok Ok…the stupid bunny can live. 😆
🙂 Hehe, he appreciates it, he just doesn’t know it.
