I too vote for Mountain Frost as a production color; I think it would do quite well !!
Could see it in Griffins too, or , going out on a limb here ….
Maybe even Adult Poads??
Ooh, griffins in Mountain Frost would be stunning! And of course it looks great on the dragons too. It’s such a nice, pristine-looking colour scheme. I would love to see it as a production colour some day.
Yes, in production would be great, rather than everyone having to fight over a single one on eBay.

There used to be a website years ago, back when funny things had their own websites instead of Facebook groups harrumph!, that would post weird listings on eBay. It used to be very popular. I can’t remember the name of it though.

I’m torn by these. They remind me so much of my youth and Lisa Franke stationary, but based on the last time there was a cougar grab bag I likely will sit on the sideline again. I appreciate the hard work and creativity that goes into the grab bags. I understand it is a way to try and get “affordable” special pieces into collectors hands, but it feels like that grab bags have been the focus lately and that regular production pieces are going extinct. That makes me sad, and is part of why I’ve been barely visiting the forum lately.
Agreed. This OOAK focus is depressing.
I’m also wondering if the sitting oris are actually going to come out in the production colors.

I have one that I was told was made from an older mold, the one of the right, because it has a lot of ridges in the large chest plates and various other scales elsewhere, and that the old ones have bigger ridges, but I don’t think this one does. The eye scales do have a lot more “wrinkles” and dents to them under the paint. Maybe this one survived better when being unmolded and didn’t need much help around the eyes.

Just move him sliiiiightly to the left…
A bit more…
And there you go! No more empty space and now king of the shelf!
Actually, he got a buddy, and I did a rearrangement.
The empty spot is the hope that one day they will have a mother to guide the little boys.

“Festival” looks like the polite name for “We had a party at the office and everybody was playing with the air brushes.” That said, it actually is rather pretty – sort of a less structured “Wild Troll” color scheme.
“Mild troll?”

It literally looks like the adolescent stage of the Emperor dragon. Same head and horn shape of the Hatching Emperor and Emperor dragons.
I think it should be called the Royal Dragon or Prince or Princeling Dragon.
He looks a lot like the Rising Spectral too, and I was hoping that this dragon could be the “Young Spectral”, but Melody says that they can’t get spectral eyes in the right size.
Maybe that orb by his tail is what is used to become the spectral eyes as an adult? They don’t get born with the special eyes but are chosen and must transform? A spectral prospect?
Prince Dragon would be cute too. Or Story Keeper. Those two names would be more in flow with the already existing dragons.

Someone would have to unpin this one so the old info isn’t stuck at the top.

You know, Kickstarter can be used as a “choice system,” by using the reward tiers. You set your base price for the dragon, then offer more expensive levels for people who want to get in front of the line to pick colors.
Say dragon will be offered at $100.
Create other tiers at $200, $300 and $400. Each more expensive tier could have fewer and fewer spots available for purchase.
Those in the $400 group can pick their dragon first. $300 next. $200 next. Then the $100 group.
If people want to buy more than one, they would need to buy more than one spot at whatever level. This is just an example of what could be done. I am not saying this must be done. People can go ahead and pick this apart, but someone did say for one of the grab bags that they would have paid a premium in order to have more ability to pick what they want.
