I couldn’t think of a new product I wanted to see from Windstone when I filled out the survey, but I thought of one now: T-shirts! Not photo prints of the various sculptures, but large, cute drawings of characters like Podge or Snerl, and stuff like that. Something fun and full of character, but not as detailed as the old prints that were available a while ago.
I always get compliments whenever I wear this particular design of Corgli, and questions how people can buy their own. Word of mouth still works to sell things, especially when it is as big as a shirt! The only downside with the one pictured here is that the artist didn’t put any notation on it of her company name/website, something like that, on the front.

The secret I got about that particular padded envelope is that it is a very cheap way to send boxes by priority mail. They are a low flat rate and very big. You could theoretically double-box something correctly and then put it in the padded envelope. You just have to be able to seal it normally, like not add on extra length by taping a second bag or whatever, nor rip it to accommodate your too-large box and tape the rips shut. I had some people tell me to ship stuff like that so they could save on shipping. You could only send the smallest Windstones, double-boxed, in those bags.
The way this seller is describing, though, is not really safe.

DragonCon was my first thought as well! I’ve never been to one, but it would be easier for East Coast/Southern USA Windstone Fans… and Atlanta is pretty cool! I didn’t realize how big it was either.
“Didn’t realize how big it was”……. OMG! Trying to scare Melody with the immense size? There’s other, smaller cons around to help her warm up for something like Dragoncon. LOL! Connecticon used to be very focused on webcomics, LARP and other things like that where Windstones would have fit right in, but it seems they have moved away from that kind of focus. Port Con Maine is a cute “little” convention that has a mix of genres, if Melody feels like seeing the far end of the other coast!

Getting Melody as a GUEST at a convention would usually have the convention pay expenses to have her there, as opposed to just vending where Windstone would have to buy a booth and pay all travel expenses.
Well, I wasn’t going to say anything about this ’till it got closer to the date, but I did accept an invitation to attend a small Sci-fi fantasy con in Seattle, as “Artist of Honor”. It will be next September. I haven’t shown at a con before, so I am a little nervous. Gosh, I would love to meet some forum friends there if anyone can make it!
