I went to Poway High. Our Fiesta Bowl trip was during my freshman year, 1986-87. It was a lot of fun! π
Okay….maybe my husband didn’t go to the same mall as you. Otherwise he would have been a one year old let loose in a mall. π π π
Woohoo! I just got my rainbow fledgie! I am so excited! Welcome to the family little one! (thanks BT)
The only dragon I want that I would trade my most collection for is a SK. (the reason I say most is because I can’t just have one dragon after having 60 pieces) I want one of these SO BAD!!!!!!!!! So if there is anyone out there who has one that would trade me for half my collection, I am up for any offers! π π π
I just want to see how often people buy Windstone. Just yesterday, I added four new “followers” to my home. A ruby scratcher, old green young, old green hatcher, and an old green male. (Their mommy has been waiting for them) π And in a few days, (thanks to travistie π ) I will have a new handsome young “man”, a silver male join the club.
So, what about you? What new “followers” do you have? Can’t wait to hear from everyone! π
I recently found on eBay two items that are supposedly signed by you. Here are the item numbers: 260229671914
260229674891
Can you look in to them please?
Thank youBarrdwing wrote:The Pern books played a pretty central role for me too, as they were hands-down the best darned dragon stories I’d ever read . . . and still are. I started reading those in junior high, so by high school I was pretty solidly locked into dragons. Freshman year, our marching band was invited to compete at the Fiesta Bowl Competition of Bands in Arizona. This led to a nine-bus caravan snorting its way down the freeway, loaded to the gills with bored kids and harried chaperones. It was nearly a twelve-hour drive in those slow things. As a reward of sorts for not hijacking the buses π we were turned loose in the Scottsdale Mall for a few hours. There I ran across a shop that had these incredible brown and green dragons in its front window. I don’t think I moved from that window for half an hour. I didn’t have twenty bucks to spare, so even the Hatcher was out of my reach, but I went from dragon to dragon anyway trying to decide which one I would buy if I could. (I eventually decided I liked the browns a little bit better.)
Leaving those dragons behind was extremely hard, and I moped about it for months. Then, a few years later, I discovered an Old Green Mother in our local Wicks’n’Sticks. It was nearly Christmas, and I only had enough cash left for half of her price. Mom, however, let herself be convinced that if she paid half and I paid half, then this dragon could be her Christmas present to me. I think Mom was happy to get off so easily, and there was little question that I liked the gift! π That dragon followed me throughout my penniless college years. It wasn’t until I’d been out and working for over five years that it even occurred to me that I could start collecting these in earnest. I found an Old Brown family on eBay, bid like a frenzied mongoose, and have been building the collection ever since. Although I have learned to not do the mongoose bidding thing most of the time. π

I don’t know for sure. (I know that the retired pieces are lower because the ruby mother was 100.99 and the ruby scratcher was 154.99. But because I know her and have bought MANY pieces, she will give me 10% off. So they would all have to be figured out individually.
I found a few prices, but I really don’t want to bother Marsha again. π The mother would come out to be about $98.71, the ruby rising is $188.64, the ruby young is $67.44, the ruby scratcher is about $152.00. They all (as far as they know) have their original boxes.
kenziesmommy663 wrote:I found two stores near me that have retired Windstone. (peacock and ruby) There are peacock spectrals, ruby and peacock rising spectrals, a ruby emperor, ruby young, ruby mother, ruby male, rainbow emperor, ruby lap, ruby scratching. I think that is it. If anyone is interested, please let me know. I know someone there that will give my 10% off. Have a great day!
mmloda has already placed the only rainbow emperor on hold. And so everyone knows. They don’t ship I would have to act as middle man. (which is not a problem) Thanks!

My husband actually got his first piece, a gardian dragon, at the Medival Times in Cali. Then I got him a peacock emperor, and slowly got more and more, now we have 60 pieces of windstone.
Windstone (and the forum) are quite addictive. I have been on here for less than a week and have already bought two more dragons to add to my collection! (lol) So…Welcome!
I am looking for a rainbow fledgling and a rainbow male. Hopefully not too expensive. π If anyone can help me, I’d appreciate it! Thanks!
I was wondering if anyone has anything Emerald they want to get rid of, eapecially an OW. π I already have a young, kinglet, curled, spectral, and fledgling. So, anyone?!?!?
Okay, I forgot to add that if anyone can help me find a ruby OW also! π Greatly appreciate it!
Hello! I was wondering if anyone lives in southern AZ that would be interested in two cockitils? I have a one 1/2 year cockitil and a two 1/2 year cockitil. I love them, they are so sweet, but my one year old son is allergic to them. π So I have to get rid of them. Please let me know if anyone is interested. π
