I’ve been retired from Frito-Lay the past 5 years, but when I worked there my favorite was the hint of lime tostitos also. After 30 years of looking at them—I’m kinda off feed!!!!!
I like them all, but the only one I collect are the emperors. My holy grail would be a Melody OOAK. The closest I’ve gotton is the new copper patina. It’s still very limited at this point.
I gave 2 of my emp boxes away awhile ago. You’re right shipping was about $12 empty. Sorry only 1 left, I’m going to keep this one.
Torchwood!!!! I’m a big Captain Jack Sparrow fan. I have a lifesize cutout in my bedroom. He’s the first and last thing I see every day but, I have to admit Torchwood’s Captain Jack Hakness is a close second.
I know I sent a piece without insurance and it broke. Asked for pics and was satisfied it was MY fault. Refunded their money. I NOW have everything insured but, I now package the items so it could live through a soccer game!!!! P.S. Hi Sapphire–I’m back collecting. This is such an ADDICTION!!!

Yep, I was happy, I was just clicking through the stations and low and behold GIGI was starting, Out came the popcorn and I was glued for the next couple of hours. Let’s see, I’ve only seen it 1000 times or more. Still shed a tear at the end.
Life is too short to worry about the past. It’s done, the only thing is that YOU need to deal with what you have decided!!! I also raise and train showhorses—-no one in my family understands. My mother said it was a phase, I’m now 55 and am buying a new baby this week—guess it wasn’t.
You’re right guys—getting older means you have your own tastes. Like displaying 12 emperors in the living room you just had redecorated—-NO MATTER what your older sister says!!!! Being over 55 to me means freedom!!!
That’s OK , there’s a whole bunch of us “OLDER” collectors here. I too bought my first piece as a “younger” person and now I have 12 emperors and I limit myself to the one mold. Welcome, as the rest of the members say–this is an addiction!!!
Yep you found a partner in crime. I like the musicals the best, I can never get enough of Gene Kelly. Favorite movie—GIGI. Also like Tracy and Hepburn.
It’s not much help, but I also have lost all my family. The best thing to do is find very close friends. I now have sooo many people to help “look out for me” that my life is now full of true family members. Remember it’s not just who your parents are that make yoy family. Best wishes and prayers.
