This is cheating a bit since I don’t actually have the mother unicorn in hand yet, but I’m looking forward to having her join her mate and baby to make a little family. I’ll have to get a proper photo when she arrives. 🙂

This is my piece for the 2015 Spring/Summer PYO Swap! Laundry2011 requested the psychedelic mushroom theme. And when I think psychedelic, I think tie dye! T’Dal Paint uses a Paint horse pattern that replaces the brown splotches with tie dye patterns and the white with gold. She’s painted with acrylics, varnished in satin and accented with multiple swarovski gems. Her hooves, horn and mane/tail accents are in silver. Since pics have been posted in the swap thread, it’s safe to post here now!
Her name is a tweak of what she is, Tie Dye Paint. 😉

Wow! Great piece. I love it, So unique. The talent you have is amazing.
I got my swap today! And when I opened the box I was in LOVE! My request was for a kitsune in cherry wood brown, cream, green and gold. I received a beautiful little cherry wood kitsune wreathed in soft greenery and cream blossoms, dotted in gold. I’ve decided to give her the nickname of ‘Nymph’.

Thank you so much siberakh1! She’s absolutely gorgeous and thank you for putting so much thought and detail into her. I couldn’t wait to share her, so I have to apologize for the bleh quality indoor photos (I will try to get better photos soon, but in the meantime please upload some better pictures if you have them). Mine don’t do her any justice. She reminds me of those old English fairy paintings. I can easily see her frolicking with the fairies and causing mischief with them. 🙂
I used dA to host the image, but made sure to give you absolute credit for her. I also pointed the way to your PYO forum thread in her description.
I appreciate the card and sharing your thoughts about painting her. It’s a wonderful touch and always interesting to know what the artist considered while working. 🙂 Also, maybe I’m a bit weird for noticing…but it’s something that catches my attention. If the packaging was any indication, I’m totally jealous of how GOOD your home smells!

Soooo… I got mine today !! And you know, I didnt really know what to expect, as I had requested Psychedelic colors, but also gave the painter other options if they couldnt do the psychedelic. I really wasnt sure if I would get something that would really speak to me or not, but I knew I would like it either way…
But I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the piece I received, as it blew me away !! It is TOTALLY my style, it is perfect! I had requested a darker type of psychedelic, as I didnt want anything too “Care-Beary” in style, lol !! , and this girl is just amazing !!! I LOVE HER !!!

I love this unicorn. Great job. In one of the pictures I can see the purple bits, the greens and blues. just gorgeous.

Congrats to anyone who got the sparkle Ki rin. Really stunning that one.
I also like the Gothic unicorn on there now.I noticed the price difference too. Maybe it is due to the increased shading. I do like the darker areas on the restock.
The Merle ones went faster than wildfire, I think all were in carts under a minute of them going into the store. Just curious as to how many of those were painted, probably under ten they went so quickly.
It looks like the buckskin restock is darker, or more shading added than the last batch. Very pretty 🙂
Was there a colored version of the Guardian Dragon gargoyle ?

Actually there was a colored one. It is under postponed production I think. It is guardian gargoyle- peacock.
that cougar sculpt is lovely, so I am down for whatever they get painted as.
But with all these little baby kirins running about now, any chance of doing some production color parents? The shenanigans these little guys can get into… they need some parental supervision and my PYO kirin is just not cutting it, she is more like a teenager.
We are still having problems with the gold adult kirin horns.
We do have a supply of silver colored kirin horns, though, so maybe we can do some color of adults that goes with silver.Random Kois. Totally
