At last I have a WIP of ‘the wedding dragon’ to show you guys; this is from today’s progress. I did the base colours and blending about a month ago, but never snapped a photo and then never got around to doing any more work on it until now due to my sheer powers of procrastination (plus a lot of real life stuff happened.) This one is going to receive some pretty red interference and probably some sort of brown antiquing. After this I’m going to be painting up a winged wolf like one of my characters (specifically this one -> http://falcolf.deviantart.com/art/Kayli-Calmspring-2014-451248027 ) and she will have custom hand painted eyes which I will be painting myself. (I found a taxidermy tutorial telling me exactly how to do it with hopefully very archival results.) Should look pretty awesome – I hope! Anyway, here’s the dragon; he’s getting blue eyes because my cousin (who is the one getting married) and her fiance’s favourite colours are orange and blue. Plus they have orange tabby cats.

Thus, a blue-eyed orange tabby dragon! (I don’t know, they gave me very few ideas to work on, all I knew was that it was a legit excuse to paint a Windstone and you can’t argue with that. I tried out a bunch of schemes on photoshop and this was the only one that really worked for me.)

After the winged wolf I’m probably going to paint a unicorn, ‘cus my best friend in Texas went and spoiled me rotten with all the stuff she gave me for my birthday/Christmas, so I must get revenge with something extravagant. (Well, it seems extravagant to me!!)

And then I REALLY want to paint a kitsune. Plans. 🙂

I just want one haha. I have forced myself to sit out on too many grab bags and I’m still choked about missing the lady cats. (I really wanted a calico haha – hoping dearly that natural coloured GB pebble kitties will come about again someday.) With everything that has happened to me, my cat Casper having his nasty medical issues and my getting a new full time job, this time, if I can help it (as in, if they’re still there when I get off work lol) I am going to get one. I’ve always thought that red foxes painted in ranch colours would be freaking amazing and this batch is looking like a dream come true! If I manage to score one I won’t even care what colour mine is, because frankly I think they all look absolutely gorgeous from the one photo that I have seen. I can’t salute them enough.

Thank you and not yet! His stitches come off tomorrow and we’re going to wait until Thursday to take the cone off so that he doesn’t worry the stitch injuries too much (dem lil’ holes) because he is going to be pretty enthusiastic about his butt hygiene I think the second that cone comes off haha. He’s starting to be more energetic now and act like himself again which is a huge relief. Last night he greeted me at the door when I got home, which he hasn’t done since before he got sick. I really missed that!
