In the case I mentioned where someone was selling a piece before they had even received it and bidding on another at the same time it could come off in a way that makes it seem like they aren’t bidding because they like the piece so much as they like winning a competition with other bidders.
I suppose this could rub someone the wrong way if they are bidding because they genuinely like the piece and feel they are receiving competition from someone who doesn’t care about the piece just winning the competition between bidders as it were.
It might not be that way at all. About a year ago, I bid on a pebble cat that I just loved! I won and paid for it….then an hour later one that I liked even better popped up. GAH! Now what? I spent my spare cash on one I loved, now there’s one I can’t live without! LOL :bigsmile: I think cases like that one happen a lot too.
I mentioned that possibility in the post before the one you quoted, I basically meant to say that if it was happening a lot it may be misinterpreted.

I recall at least one instance of an ad that stated the seller (I don’t remember who) had not even received the piece yet but they were already selling it. I also remember the same person was talking about bidding on an ebay piece at the same time.
It could have been that they liked the piece they were bidding on more and were selling the other ebay pieces to free up some of the money they had spent on them to pay for the one they were bidding on, but it was never stated in the ad so it did strike me as a bit odd.
This could have been a part of what sparked Dragon61’s reaction.
WOW, I was just looking at the pages a couple minutes ago and there were 10+ of each, good thing I wasn’t interested in buying.
It was mentioned somewhere else that they are painting the curls in glacier right now so I think it’s just anything out of stock plus retired things that haven’t been removed from the website
I won the Leopard Male Griffin. I’m very happy with him, he’s even prettier in person and looks lovely with my Sand & Sand Tiger Dragons. I also have the Maltese heading this way soon <3
I’m curious what color that sun dragon is, it’s quite stunning!
I grabbed it mostly for the copper color as it was so I’m still happy with it, just figured I’d mention the mix up so the other person who got one knew beforehand that they might be getting one with teal eyes too.
Got the dragon today and, while the box is labeled as having red eyes, it had the teal colored ones. Despite this the dragon looks great and I think I’ll keep him, I was just wondering if this was the case for whomever bought the other one as well or if the wrong one was put into my box.
Bwahaha I just increased my collection by 300% (sounds much bigger than just 3 dragons) so I now have

and Peacock EmperorYay!! Got one! *AND* had a gift certificate, so only $58 total for the little guy ^_^ my old warrior has someone to tell his war stories to. I got the email and by the time I clicked over to the store on my phone, 12 had been sold-5 remaining, and after I ordered mine, 2 left! There was a rising spectral and male on ebay and I bid, thinking I’d get out bid…but nope! And they were both less than store price+shipping O.O I’m in big trouble now. 0:)
aaah so you were the bidder I almost snatched that male from, you were saved at the last minute when the silver male went up for auction lol
