I just received my VF Fledging and Curlie this afternoon – the color, especially on the fledgling, is gorgeous – How about an Emperor in that color – Please Please Please.
Can you believe it there is already a violet flame fledging on Ebay? No. is 300130001247 (I don’t know how to make a thread)
That is quite an honor congratulations
Is there any possibility of an old green curlie to go along with my old green fledgling or are you completely out of old green paint? I would love one.
Welcome fellow Floridian. I am fairly new to the forum but got my first Windstones in 1986. You will find all the members are friendly and helpful. If it hadn’t been for Greater Basilisk’s patience and great instructions I would have never figured out Photobucket.
Ocala is probably about 3 hrs. north of me. Boynton Beach is between West Palm Beach and Boca Raton.
I know a lot of people around here that are collecting the State Quarters for their kids, grandkids, etc and the ones that live in the West can’t get the “P”‘s and I just thought if anybody in the West needs any “P” to complete their collection of “D” and “P” I keep some spares and would be happy to send them to you.
I must be the grand old lady of the group at age 66. I got my first Windstones in 1986 after a friend of mine showed me his brown male, female and hatchng. I wanted the peacock male and female but the shop only had a brown set so I took them. I really got bad after joining the forum and seeing all the LE and LP’s. I had 39 Windstones when I joined in April and I now have 57 with the VF fledging and curlie on the way that = 59.
Tsija don’t believe it that you lose your enthusiasm for collecting Windstones as you age. You just get worse and want more.
Good Luck for both your husband and your baby. Is it possible your husband’s transplant will come before the baby? My prayers are with you.
Lucky You
I have lived in FL for 9 years but before that I lived in Atlanta (well Roswell anyhow) for about 10 years and don’t remember hearing about this when I lived there is this something recent? Sounds great – I’ll have to think about it
Welcome to the forum it’s addictive
Welcome to the forum
You got a really great buy I have seen them go for a couple of hundred. If I remember correctly I paid $58 for a new one a few years ago – before they were retired.
Yes Yes Yes an Emperor
