I am so glad you like him. He was quite entertaining to paint to say the least. Your pictures make him look so much better than the ones I took.
I’m late to the party with posting up my stunning swap from Zloy720. The breed name is Fuzzicus Creaticus, and it is so insanely clever! My photos don’t quite do it justice but here we go. Thank you so much Zloy, they now occupy a space in my sewing room, nestled in on their own shelf by my main quilting machine.
I’m so glad she made it safe and sound, she got a rather late start since I have been down with a nasty bug that just doesn’t want to go away. I was hoping you would like her Amstaff. We went to a local festival last month and I fell in love with the scarves, ending up with three of them. Two of which have become fuzzies! I just wore mine over the weekend to the winery, she made for quite the conversation piece!
I purchased mine at an estate sale for a little over 200. The shelves are wood and glass (framed in wood with small glass inserts) and I’ve had no issues with them. I tend to keep a look out for local sales or head to Goodwill/Salvation Army every so often, you can find some really good deals.
It is housing my entire peacock collection, some extra dragons, poads and assorted other goodies.
Surgery yesterday went perfectly! The doctor called it as by the book as she had ever seen. One night in the hospital and I am already home today and able to walk around. Besides having my first hot flash, this hasn’t been anything like I expected! All the well wishes and thoughts went a long way. Time to enjoy to recovery time with a loving husband.
Thank you! I can’t believe it is tomorrow already and bright and early to boot! 5:30 in the morning is going to be an early one. On the plus side I’ll beat the St. Louis rush hour traffic! Wish me luck!
Got the call earlier today, surgery on the 13th of July. I was hoping it would hold off until after my birthday on the 15th, but the Doc says get it done, so it shall be! I think I am more worried about the surgical menopause than I am the surgery itself at this point. I just hope my poor husband can weather through the mood swings that are bound to hit, considering how fantastic he is, I am sure he will. I have to admit there is an odd sort of sadness to losing everything at the age of 36. Wish me luck, seven days and counting down.
Thank you! I was super surprised, and honestly a little shocked! He usually teases me about my Windstone addiction instead of adding to it!
My husband decided to surprise me with a pair of Taddies for my birthday! They are both adorable. The one with the black eyes is in her forever home, but I think the other might go up for trade, though she is growing on me. She is such an interesting mix of crisp white that fades into a lovely aqua.
Oh my goodness! Sushi Cats would be fantastic!
Thank you all. 🙂 It’s been a busy couple of weeks but I wanted to stop back to thank you for the well wishes. It looks like it’s going to be a total hysterectomy, ovaries and all with no hormone therapy if I can manage the surgical menopause. *Fingers crossed* Just so glad to have a course of action. And I’ll take a Peacock Poad if someone is buying! (I lack space for a SK! Wow are they impressively big. :P)
After a few months worth of tests I got the answer of complex hyperplasia with focal atypia today. More than a touch terrifying, I go to see the Oncologist at the end of the month to figure out what manner of hysterectomy I’ll be having. After loosing my Mother in Law and then my Mom to cancer over the last four years the word Oncologist scares the crap out of me.
Kris! Thank you so very much, the Grif couldn’t be more perfect! He reminds me of stormy skies with the deep blues, grays, and touches of purple! Please pardon the horrible pictures we are getting all manner of rain today which makes for dreary inside photos. If you have better photos, please post them up!
I’m so glad he got there early, I had a blast painting him. I have a couple of crappy cellphone pictures I can put up but that is about it. I had to rush to ship him before we left on vacation and didn’t have the common sense to break out a proper camera. I’m glad you liked him!
Again sorry for the pic quality!
Shipped! Due in by Thursday at the latest, can’t wait!
