I was wondering about that one since I didn’t see any keywords, didn’t think to ctrl-a the page. 😉

      Sneaky!

Windstone Forums is definitely a wonderful place. <3

Some people are just "trolls", plain and simple. "Trolling" consists of hurting/angering another person, fooling them, or getting them emotionally involved in an argument on purpose. As soon as that happens, the troll 'wins' the game he/she is playing with you.

Some people troll as a hobby. Seriously. It's their casual entertainment to make other people miserable. If you write an impassioned post to defend yourself and they respond with "u mad bro" or some variation, you know for sure who you're dealing with. It's a victory cry, or like saying "Checkmate."

Therefore to 'win' when engaged with a troll, you emotionally disengage. As soon as you make a response post, no matter how justified you are, if you get sucked in, the troll wins. The only way to win is to not play.

MAJOR HUGS. I had the exact same experience as you at another forum years back. That horrible feeling in your stomach reading some stranger's out-of-the-blue vitriol is just awful. Take a deep breath, you're in control. What they say has absolutely no bearing on you. <3

Sounds like it just needs a bobbin in there. 🙂 A little plastic or metal spool that fits down there, with the same color thread on it as what the top thread will be. That’s easy-peasy, not a big issue.

You should keep it and learn how to do your own pant hemming! That’s pretty simple once you have a hang of the machine. And you’re already ahead on cost because you got the machine for free!

I inherited my mom’s OLD machine from the ’60s and still use it fairly regularly for easy little projects. If this machine works well or only needs a simple repair, go for it! Sewing is pretty fun. 🙂

Obviously she has never tried painting one of those if she calls them crap :p

Obviously she has some issues with gratitude as well, if she refers to hundreds of dollars’ worth of gifts as “crap”.

            😛

I was ignoring her listings after reporting a couple, but now I’m gonna make a point of reporting her keyword spamming. Sorry if this falls under the “feeding negativity with negativity” idea, I kinda feel like it’s more of a “Mess with the bull, you get the horns.”

Hah. Piggyback on Windstone’s ebay success by keyword spamming, then when you get reprimanded for it, put on a smear campaign….

Talk about biting the hand that you were feeding from. What embarrassingly immature behavior. I wonder if she realizes how bad she’s making herself look, or if she really thinks this is going to help her business.

              What a child.

That mother Ki-Rin makes me so sad because she’s the prettiest mama I’ve ever seen, I want to bid so bad! <3 She reminds me of grunion fish. Happy memories!

I love the Lavender Dream color but I’m not crazy about the yellow used on the claws and hooves.

I kind of agree there. The gold around the ki-rin’s eye looks lovely.

                  They’re Princess Celestia Windstones!

edit: I keep coming back to look at that Fledgie! He’s so dang cute!

                    – Remember to be thankful every day for the blessings I have in my life

Hear hear! It’s a short path from gratitude to happiness. <3

Aww, sad I missed that Deer auction. I didn’t even see it go up. I would have bid, he was awesome. Congrats to the winner. 🙂 I hope more are listed!!

laying deer like the mother unicorn would be nice. They could have simple pewter horns-a little more complex than the oriental dragons, but more simple than real deer antlers.

Ooooooh, I would totally buy a Deer sculpt like that. A 2-point buck would make me just as happy as an impractical 12-point pewter horn. 😀 A deer family sounds so pretty.

I wish I could offer help but can only offer hugs. <3 I'm sorry you're having so much trouble, it sounds just awful what you're going through. Hope you are able to find a clue or two.

Hear hear on the food topic. Oh I could go on and on about this so I will try to be succinct!

Have any of you watched Food, Inc? Please do if you haven’t. It’s a good look at how food ‘works’ for us USA forum members. Very good documentary. It had a limited theater release a couple years back and when I saw it then, I started changing my food choices for the better. Just watched it again last week and found it newly relevant.

If Food, Inc. piques your interest, I would also recommend The Future of Food which can be watched free on Youtube. Food, Inc. is on Netflix. Future of Food does not have the slick production value of Food, Inc. but is very good regardless.

On the book front, PLEASE read Fast Food Nation! I read this book 10 years ago and it changed my life for the better. If you have trouble with your weight and like fast food joints, this book can be an awesome diet aid! 😀 I used to like fast food as much as anyone else, but within a year of reading the book, without realizing it, I’d pretty much cut it out of my diet. When you know how those companies work, you just don’t want to give them your money anymore.

I still occasionally will succumb to the temptation of some Wendy’s chicken nuggets, or a McDonald’s breakfast sandwich, and I always regret it! I just feel so crummy afterward. My body no longer has a tolerance for all of those high-fat, high-salt, cheap corn-based ingredients. I’m pretty ok with that!

Have any of you read The Omnivore’s Dilemma? I have not gotten to that one yet. Or any other doc/book recommendations?

                                  —————————————–

                                  My resolutions for this year:

                                  – Find a healthier pet food for my cat, Harley. There are UNBELIEVABLY UNHEALTHY AND ETHICALLY REPREHENSIBLE ingredients in most pet foods. I am hesitant to even go into detail on it here. I’m sure quite a few of you know exactly what I’m talking about already. Just recently educated myself on what those vague ingredients actually mean, and was utterly disgusted.

                                  – GO THE **** TO SLEEP! I have real trouble with insomnia and staying on the computer late into the night, reading reading reading. ‘Bout things like pet food ingredients and conspiracy theories. I simply must limit this for the sake of my health. XD To accomplish this, I am going to commit to turning my computer off at midnight on weeknights. If you guys see a post from me on here after midnight PST, feel totally free to yell at me. A lot.

                                  – Pick up my exercise routine again. This will be the hardest one for me to keep. So I’ll use my Windstone calendar! Put a smiley face and short description every time I make an conscious effort to do _something_ physical. I have managed to do this before a few years ago, and being more active, even a little, had amazing benefits. Five ‘bad’ years of stress, awful relationships, and depression really took its toll on physical activity and I want to feel good again.

If any of you have tips on these I would love to hear! 🙂
