This dragon in the center is a Peacock fledge, yeah? There’s an older-style Peacock on the left and my Emerald Peacock on the right. I like getting duplicates of the same color if there’s a lot of variance, like with the Ruby ones I posted above. 🙂
That’s definitely a candy apple version, without sun bleaching IMO. I’ve got two lovely representatives of the extremes of range in color in my collection. Here’s some comparison pics. There really is a lot of variation in the Ruby color from what I’ve seen!
Thanks! This unmarked box doesn’t fit those measurements so the mystery continues, heh. Maybe it’s a PYO Muse box. It’s about 2.5 x 2.5 x 4 inches.
November 10, 2016 at 4:49 pm in reply to: [New Sculpts added May 3!] Wire Art Sculptures for sale – Flower Blooms on Stones #1509885Aw thank you for the kind words, everyone. 🙂 What a shot in the arm to see people still curious about them. I have some new pieces I’m trying to get photographed in time for the holiday season. Etsy is still in the works but I’ll likely post new pieces here first!
July 30, 2016 at 5:23 pm in reply to: [New Sculpts added May 3!] Wire Art Sculptures for sale – Flower Blooms on Stones #1487718Back with an update, I am getting ready to launch an Etsy store for my little trees, and will have to adjust the prices to balance out the costs of running on their platform. If any of you were on the fence about purchasing a piece, now is a great time! 😉 Thank you SO MUCH again to everyone who has purchased one (or more!) trees from me and given me enough momentum to even try doing this!!
Euphoria is wonderful! She makes me smile, fun to look at. what a good thing in a Windstone. Love her name too, so apt.
Amen to that! What a perfect name. She’s so beautiful! Congrats on your Uni Scathatch. 😀
Where are folks getting these screenshot grids? The blog photo doesn’t have this pebbly beauty in it so I am curious what others might be missing.
I could be wrong but I think they’re getting them from those youtube livestreams.
Btw, what sort of light setup do you use for your photos? They look so good!
Ah thank you! I’m saving up to get a proper softbox. That gray backdrop is just an old skirt, lol! I shoot in late afternoon, indirect light on my patio. My apartment building faces south and is U-shaped. So during that time of day, the opposite side of the building acts as an enormous reflector/diffuser and throws a nice additional light source on the pieces I photograph. I can get the colors pretty accurate that way, in their full depth. It’s not perfect as is; the light levels usually get increased in Photoshop.
I used to love shooting my pieces in front of the planter in the courtyard; it gets the same afternoon lighting. It’s been too dry and drab to get nice pictures this season though. And they replaced the pretty, dark wood frame with ugly cement caps. 😛
Meet Archer, everybody!
I love him, I really do, but I would be willing to trade him for one of my top pics. My #1 is this pebbly guy, which is probably a long shot but hey one can dream. I’ve been a little out of the loop with this batch (had to put a real life hoofer down last weekend) so haven’t been able to keep track of the trade ads.

May 4, 2016 at 10:26 am in reply to: [New Sculpts added May 3!] Wire Art Sculptures for sale – Flower Blooms on Stones #944905Thank you!! I agree, it definitely needs a larger stone to be adequately stable as-is. It was a fun experiment using beads for fruit but they are quite heavy all together! It stands on its own all right, but is too easy to knock over with a bump or a good shake to the display cabinet. I’ve been keeping my eye out for a nice bonsai pot to mount it more securely in. 🙂
May 3, 2016 at 2:29 pm in reply to: [New Sculpts added May 3!] Wire Art Sculptures for sale – Flower Blooms on Stones #944861Added some new pieces!
Also thought I’d show a sculpture I’m not sure if I’d like to sell (it’s balanced like a mobile but more unstable than I’d prefer), but I like how it came out. Kirin for scale lol!
March 24, 2016 at 11:59 am in reply to: [New Sculpts added May 3!] Wire Art Sculptures for sale – Flower Blooms on Stones #943560Woop woop! 14 new sculptures added over the past couple days! Want to give folks lots of options for Mother’s Day. I have some new pieces I’m working on currently that I’m excited for also. 🙂
March 22, 2016 at 10:59 am in reply to: [New Sculpts added May 3!] Wire Art Sculptures for sale – Flower Blooms on Stones #943510Added a few new pieces, and I have a few more to get pics of as soon as I can get my camera to behave. 😛
I finished mama Pegasus already and also sweet baby laying and I also did … baby hatching Pegasus and she makes a complete family! Their muscles and curves help make Cedar Wood colors stand out great. I wanted to keep this male because he looks so majestic!
This! So this! The color gives me new appreciation for the musculature in Melody’s sculpts!
I just love these Cedar painted sculpts too!! I never posted pics of a Young Uni repaint/portrait I did for my sister’s brown horse who passed away a few years ago. (Cuz forum rules!) But he came out stunning and made me appreciate the beautiful sculpt even more. I thought brown might be a little …..dull but with the dimension on the musculature it just is beautiful. 🙂 The Cedar paints take it to a whole new level!
February 28, 2016 at 8:49 am in reply to: color shift GB baby kirin show off thread – 02/10/2016 #942843Finally managed to get pics of this one posted. 🙂 Danged if these color shift paints aren’t the HARDEST TO PHOTOGRAPH! They always have so much more depth in person. I even tried to make a little GIF showing the shift.
I just love the gold eyes/dark muzzle and eyeliner combo! The top fur is a gold/green/bronze fade. The body is done in green/purple color shift paint that fades to metallic violet feeties. There’s some little bronze accents on the body scales. I’ve been waffling for over a week trying to decide if I’ll keep her or not, but I would be open to trading or selling I think. More interested to trade though.
