I hadn’t bought any Windstones for a while (curse you, terrible currency exchange rate), but I absolutely love the cougar sculpt, so I ended my buying drought. I got one cougar from each color group (purple, red, green). I’m going to have an awesome conga line of cougars once they arrive. 😀
A hoppy young poad also snuck into my cart. Cheeky little devil. 😉
My email inbox just exploded with TWENTY-NINE classified ad half-life warnings, all for the same ad! Based on the comments above, I’m not the only person having this issue. But seriously, 29!
January 13, 2016 at 2:33 am in reply to: New Color Shift Cougars in SEVEN different colors! & Lucky Llamas in our store 1-12-2016 #939697I keep hoping that a green/purple cougar pops out of someone’s cart. I love that color combo, although I cyan/purple is a close second.
As you probably have seen, a couple are in the store now.
I snagged one within ten seconds of posting that comment. 😀

December 23, 2015 at 1:24 pm in reply to: The First Annual Windstone Forum Fall/Winter Chocolate Swap! (CHECKING IN!!) #938633I got my package from Bullsquid. Sadly, i can’t post pics. 🙁 I got an awesome box of Canadian chocolates. Every item something new i have never got to try before. Thank you Bullsquid!! The Toffifees are amazing.
I’m glad you like it. 🙂 And those Toffifees are dangerously addictive, aren’t they? I have a hard time stopping myself from eating the whole box of them at a time.
Bullsquid has your arrived yet? I was informed it was mailed about 2 weeks ago.
It hadn’t arrived as of last Friday, but I’m not surprised at the length of time. Under normal circumstances, packages frequently take 2 weeks to reach me, never mind the Christmas holidays. I have actually moved since the swap started (it’s okay, my parents still live at my old address), so I’ll have to check with my parents to see if it arrived this week.
Moss almost looks like a modern version of old green. I would love to see it made into a production colour; I would buy all my favourite dragons in it.
Oh my, I just imagined an Old Warrior in Moss. It would be gorgeous! And considering we never got OWs in old green, that would fill a hole in many people’s collections (or close enough). 😉
I love love LOVE the Moss mini keeper! Such a terrific little green dragon.
Huzzah, the return of Moss! 😀 I had hoped we’d see more of those.
There was a lot of enthusiasm for the “Hot Rod” Riser, but in the end he sold for store price.
Edit – Now that I look at recent auctions, the “Water Sprite” OW and the “Autumn Falls” female griffin sold for BELOW store price, and the “Oil Spot” scratcher was also roughly store price. Maybe the upcoming Christmas season is affecting the bidding?
probably and or people saving up for GB poads and GB youngs whenever they come out….
I think it’s also safe to say (but I’m not speaking for all) that the dollar is stopping Canadian Collectors from making large purchases. I know I’m not overly excited to spend 300 dollars, just to have $401 come out of my account.
That is definitely a factor. I have been loving many of the Ebay test paints listed recently, but I have to keep my max bids around $250 less than what I would spend if the dollar was at parity. That’s a big difference.
November 20, 2015 at 3:38 pm in reply to: Picture Thread: Windstone Ebay/Grab Bag 'Families'. #937283As someone with a Bachelor’s Degree in Entomology I am LOVING the butterfly inspired dragons like Monarch and Blue Morpho! Can we have a Spanish Moon Moth dragon or maybe a Sunset Moth dragon?????
Wow, those moths are gorgeous! I love earthy greens and browns, so a Spanish moon moth dragon would be a big hit with me.
November 19, 2015 at 1:43 pm in reply to: The First Annual Windstone Forum Fall/Winter Chocolate Swap! (CHECKING IN!!) #937257I’m waiting until we’re a little closer to the holidays, but all is well.
…a whole cart crammed full of … hmm, maybe these will work… haven’t done a grab bag edition of these things yet…
Oh, please say you’re talking about hoarder dragons! You probably aren’t, but I’m excited to hear about the possibility of a sculpt we haven’t seen painted as a grab bag edition before. 😀
I love how you picked out the dragon’s scales in different shades of blue. It really makes them “pop” visually.
