Got this little autumn leaf beauty today. I was hoping for something a little “louder” or bright interesting colouring from the Fancy group or the turtle Tanuki (a girl can dream right!). If you have anything you’d like to trade shoot me a PM with pic and I will let you know.

I too would love to see outdoor sculpts (garden dragons). I cherish my specialty lilies and they would love some dragons in the garden, fairies and any other outdoor items you wanted to create.
Empress would be awesome too of course 🙂
I use E6000 glue for my flat backs and have shipped across Canada, USA and to UK and have had no issues. I have only had one gem come off after sold and that was not due to shipping but from owners sibling picked it off lol
Could try using that glue. Once hardened and set if you use it for eyes it is not removable so if wanting to remove eyes to change later stick with Elmers white glue. 🙂
My 2 cents anyways.I also, when drilling, use the bit by hand, turning between fingers and not with power drill. I start out with smaller bit and drill start hole, move to larger bit making hole again bit bigger then to final size I need. This helps to prevent and crumbling of gypsum. Takes more time bit works well.
I have added additional jewels to keepers and to small dragons. I have drilled small gem setting hole in forehead of almost all of my keepers for gems and I have used flat backs for other areas. Added small dragon chest gems, keeper dragon back leg gems and shoulder gems etc.
My little one finally arrived. Pictures show darker than he is. Beautiful butter shimmer yellow on head and neck and the softest pink coral color on legs to match eyes. This one is lovely but not my fav. I was hoping for something a little more fantasy and bright.
Aww….drag0n….I was hoping you would get a psychedelic crazy colour one….I think yours should trade well, though, it is really pretty!

Given my aversion to bright colors I was pretty sure I would not be happy with my grab…..but Melody continues to outdo herself and create wonderful things….and I like my little one quite a bit! I love the masking on the face and the tail stripe. The purple dots on the forehead and flanks are a wonderful touch, the lines are crisp, and the blending is gorgeous.
Of course, it’s not one of the ones I had my heart set on (and if you love her let me know) but I am quite happy. 🙂

Allie you are doing a remarkable job on this piece. So cool to see where it started to where it is now. Bravo. I can imagine the time put in in all those scales and you have the patience of a saint lol
