Fairytail is one on my list. You’ll have to let me know how it goes. 🙂
A friend of mine made me watch about 3 episodes from Black Lagoon… after watching the episode with the twins and the nails… I passed on that one. Psychos. LOL.
I DID watch the unedited Golion. Thought it would be interesting to relive my childhood, as I watched Voltron after school. WTF! Who thought this would make a good kids’ show!? So much death! XD
Thanks all! 🙂
Here are some foops that were never posted. The first 2 were commissioned. The other 3 are from my army I was building. The blue one has been already sold, and the other 2 are now for sale.
I promise I’ll try to keep up with pics from now on. XD
The last green one is probably my favorite. That one was an absolute PAIN in the rear when it came to taking photos. He’s very richly-colored, has a ton of interference, and has a underlying blue tone on the body fur that really doesn’t show well.
Fantastic job on those kirin scales!! o.O Holy moly!!
Those of us who have tried to paint such perfect lines know how close one can come to loosing your sanity! XD
I hope she sells for lots! 🙂
THREAD RESURRECTION!!
I have been without anime for too long! It’s time for a little anime therapy. I picked something short (12 episodes) so I wouldn’t get too distracted from everything else I NEED to be doing right now. LOL. There’s a couple of animes in the 175 – 200 episode range that I would like to watch, but I AM SO NOT touching those right now… for I may fall into the abyss, never to be seen or heard from again. XD
Title: Brave 10
<img src="http://i.animecrazy.net/Brave-10.jpg"Synopsis: (from Wikipedia) The story takes place during the Warring States period, approximately a year before the Battle of Sekigahara. Kirigakure Saizou, an Iga Ninja in search of his life’s path, comes across Isanami, an Izumo shrine maiden, being attacked by assassins. Isanami, who survived the burning of Izumo Temple by Tokugawa Ieyasu’s forces, is traveling to Shinshuu to seek sanctuary with Sanada Yukimura. At the same time, Sanada Yukimura is in the midst of gathering 10 subjects of extraordinary valor, the Sanada Ten Braves, whose combined strength will allow them to alter the course of history. During the course of the continuing battles, the mysterious power hidden within Isanami will awaken soon…
Star Rating:
Review: Yes, I gave a twelve episode anime 4 stars. Really good for just 12 episodes… that, or I’m having serious anime withdrawals. LOL. It had some really fun characters. You actually got to know some of their personalities/eccentric quirks (rarely happens with 12 episodes, thus my reason for the rating). The downside is that the plot is obviously condensed, and you don’t get to really know some of the villains and side characters (too short!). But if you’re having one of those weekends where you don’t feel like doing anything (it’s been raining for 2 weeks straight), you can sit back and get this one knocked out pretty quick. The animation is nice. It’s got humor and action, and there are some serious parts here and there. Did I mention that it’s a bloody sin this one was too short! It had sooo much potential… I got hooked pretty quick. It feels like an introduction to another story arc (which would be awesome, but I doubt that will happen… shame). If the manga picks up again, I’ll probably get it… … …because I can so totally afford manga right now. >.<
Warnings and Praises: You’re dealing with ninjas (some with supernatural powers) and war so expect violence and blood. People get stabbed and slashed, but it’s not too over the top. The women are busty, and there’s also some nudity.
Opening theme Love this song! ^_^
Thank you, everyone, for your wonderful compliments. I have a major case of the warm fuzzies.
I do believe this is my favorite one as well. I think it’s the tail. It’s bluer, and I find it looks nice against the wings. 🙂
I really do hope to paint more this year, including some traditional canvas work. I need it… for my sanity. LOL
Jeepers, it’s been a while! I actually finished this dragon back in 2010 (good grief!) but due to various life-related aggravations never posted any photos. But today I was snapping a few pictures and decided “what the hey.” This is N’Twe.
He was a challenge. When I finished his inital basecoating and layering, I looked at him and realized I’d just painted him to look like a poo. Frustrated, I dubbed him “Turd With Eyes” and put him away. Ten months later, I realized what the dragon wanted to look like was not what I had been trying to make him. I pulled him out and finished the paintjob. Now he needed a new name, so: N’Twe, which stands for “Not a Turd With Eyes.” 🙂
Ha! I, too, know how this feels. I had one that I actally reprimed because he was so bad… almost named him Pond Scum. LOL!
He came out really, really lovely. I LOVE the blending on him! 🙂
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to join this time. 🙁 My life is not quite straightened out yet. LOL
Well, I know it’s been a while, but 2012 seriously kicked my butt! And the beginning of this year is still going to be a little rough. As some of you know, my husband and I are about 99% positive we will be seperating. It’s just a timing thing at the moment with putting the condo on the market. Hopefully, I won’t be too scarce and will be on regularly again. 🙂
These were the last two pieces on my commission list from 2012. A very special thank you goes out to these two members who have been very patient while my life fell apart last year. Also, if you were supposed to be on the list (and your name was lost somewhere in the mayhem), PLEASE LET ME KNOW! XD
Maltese tiger #4 – he’s pretty much done. Just need to check him over and make sure there are no rubs before I seal him. The pic may be a little washed out as I took the pic in front of the window. It was the only light I had to work with. >.<
I’m still working on the wings for this one. He’ll be ready soon. 🙂 Sorry, I forgot the eyeballs! LOL
Move and maintain my sanity. That’s it. That’s all I’m putting on the list. Anything else that I accomplish (cooking more, exercise, etc) is just bonus. LOL. 😛
So looking for to a new year!
Yeah for muses!! Love the colors… so pretty. 🙂
Thanks, everyone. I just want to drop in and say I’m doing OK. I’m actually dealing with Saber’s loss better than I expected. I do believe it’s because of my other 2 dogs (April is laying next to me as I type). I still miss Saber terribly, and I still cry, but I know he’s in a better place. That really does get me through.
I know I haven’t been on in a while, and I’m probably going to be gone for a while longer still. It seems this year isn’t done with me yet, as my husband and I are probably seperating. We have decided for now to wait until after the holidays to discuss this any further. Our families would not be able to handle it.
I really am having one heck of a year. 🙁
Well, Saber is now at rest. I made the decision to call the vet on Monday morning. He just looked so tired and ready. The vet came out this afternoon. It was very peaceful. Painful for me and my husband, but peaceful, and we were able to be with him until the end. The vet even made a plaster cast of his paw, and we are having him cremated.
While I was baptized and confirmed Catholic, I do not consider myself a religious person and do not subscribe to a specific faith anymore. I am however an extremely spiritual person… me and my husband both. We both believe in God, life after death, and that death is only a transition. I know Saber is in a better place, and I’m positive he is walking alongside my grandfather right now (my grandfather was very fond of Saber, even for the short time that they knew each other).
But I’m still having a hard time. It’s extremely quiet now. Saber was a very vocal and demanding dog. He had a variety of barks, whines, and woofs to communicate what he wanted. This condo is so quiet now that it almost feels lonely. I guess the Powers-That-Be really do know what’s best for me (you would think I would know by now to stop questioning how things play out). I’m so glad I haven’t moved yet… because once I move, I’ll be able to leave the lonely behind, and the new place won’t be associated with Saber’s loss.
This one always makes me cry… God and Dog
He was an extremely intelligent dog, confident, and a level-headed alpha. He was also highly independent and down right stubborn at times, but I loved him for it. He never played with toys; he was too aloof… but every now and then we would get a little mischievous and try to engage you in a game of chase. He will be dearly missed. 🙁
Absolutely beautiful!!
Oh, Pegasi… you have my sincere condolences. Prayers and blessings to you. HUGS!
Thank you all for such wonderful words. It really means a lot. <3
