Awww, so cute! Nice colors!
I hope it is the colts since it’s not the young unicorns. If foxes I will probably sit those out, unless they are the adorable tanukis.
Oh my gosh, I am sick I missed these! I love baby Pegasus! Please Melody, please do more!
Congrats, enjoy your beautiful griffin!
One time I was driving to a Fleetwood Mac concert and at a traffic light saw a grab bag had just come out on my phone, I was expecting it so anxious. So I asked one of my friends to take over as driver, ha so I could concentrate on ordering the gb. There was no time to keep a van load of passengers waiting while I tried to get the gb while they were in a concert good mood if I pulled over and concentrated on that. Another time my internet was down, but I was sure a gb was coming out that evening. I live down in a hollow near a stream so the phone reception is not reliable so couldn’t use that as backup. So I drove up the hill to the high school and waited. Cars came and went. I was worried that a policeman would ask me what I was doing sitting in the parking lot so long. And just when I was about to give up that evening they came out two hours later. Ha, I guess you have to be a little crazy to order your life around gb releases like that.
After studying different angles of view and such, to have the base color show the viewer must be at an angle directly in front of the cougar with the light source at the same angle. Otherwise there are so many diffuse flecks in the paint that it will be color shifted. Where I have this display unit for my smaller Windstones this isn’t practical for me as I have the unit in a corner of the room to keep it out of high traffic areas and the seating is all towards the middle of the room. I might move the Cougars to a smaller unit more towards the center of the viewing angles relative to seating. The dragons and Griffins will have to move though as the scale of the sculpts don’t mix. For stationary objects such as Windstones sculpts this is all a consideration for how you are going to view and enjoy color shifted pieces that inhabit some stationary display unit. I guess you could use a rotating electric bass too if you want to enjoy seeing the color shifts.
I received my cyan-purple cougar today. There is interference paint all over the cougar. So in most lighting conditions it is a deep plum color instead of blue. I was hoping for mostly blue with some purple highlights. It is much the reverse so he is almost black inside in normal housing lighting conditions. I love the color blue and purple so this was the first cougar I wanted to buy in color shift. I was hoping to display him with my gorgeous GB ziger Cougars. I think he is probably too dark to display with them. Gonna wait and see. I may have to rethink my display and change up the lights and setup. If the gold-silver gets restocked I will probably order that also, it should be much lighter.
So sorry Laurie. What a tough, tough time. You are so attuned to your pets suffering. I wish we could have all helped in time to save your mare collectively. Best to you.
I love the sushi cat print !!! Melody, please reproduce that too. Can’t wait for the sushi cats to come out. They are adorable.
Oh no, sorry to hear this Kim. Hopefully PayPal will back you up. I hope you submitted copies of your correspondence too and her agreement to purchase. With such hard evidence, what was she thinking?
Happy Birthday! Hope it is a great one!

What is the blue fuzzy thing on left? A dog?
Beautiful collection, love it.
I love seeing those blue jay pegasi. In general I found that scheme captivating so it’s great to see more pictures of them in different light settings.
My new year with Windstone started out wonderfully, with some amazing ladies on the forum helping me to obtain my top two safari poads. (A very big thank you to them!) Now I just need to get my hands on a silver bengal from this batch…grrrr…
This is Dawon, with Bindi and two as-of-yet unnamed AWD tads (leaning towards Sarama and Rudra).
I haven’t figured out a name for this gal yet. I fell in love with her in the teaser photos, which is surprising because in general I don’t find myself drawn to duns (or simple schemes for that matter). She’s a bit of a strange mix–not quite zebra, not quite dun, with a white belly to boot, and beautiful dark grey eyes (plus her throat is dark grey and the crest of her head is white…such an unusual beastie!).
And finally, I’m reposting my hoppy teal-and-white family here, to roundout the beginning of this year for me. 🙂
Love the quagga poad. She is an extra nice one. Congrats!
Oh darn! Please do more safaris!
