…………. Once, when we adopted one of the pups out, it was brought back by a VERY irate owner. The pup was brindle, as were its littermates and probably 90% of the greyhounds around here. The owner was angry because they claimed we misrepresented the breed of the pup. They said their vet insisted the pup was a pit and most definitely not a greyhound, because it was brindle and only pits come in brindle. Uh, yeah, with its skinny sighthound head and body, it’s a pit all right, even if it wasn’t from known parentage… you can’t win against stupidity. We just took the pup back to find it a better home.
    ………………….

LOL! Yeah, there are all kinds of stupid out there. I did have a few people ask me if one of my brindle pittie mixes was a greyhound, or if he had greyhound in him 😉 So I guess these people knew greyhounds came in brindle, and there was a few brindle greyhounds around my town at one point.

Tigger, my brindle pittie mix, was a tad skinny, and goofy to, so I cant blame people for asking 😉 When he would jump at you clowning around, his front legs would go out and he almost looked like a praying mantis, lol!

    Man I miss my dogs…. 🙁

Here is an old video with Tigger in it:

    And a few old pics:

    Tigger

….(sorry, I had to post pics of my other 2 dogs, didnt seem fair to their memory… since I started looking at their pics, and missing them all… I wanted to share)

His sister, Peaches (short for Peaches n’ Cream)

The following one brings back lots of memories…. sad ones… lets say the relationship I was in at the time was really sick… I was in a really abusive situation, and the dogs were what kept me sane, but I felt so bad for them as well… long long story… anywho in this pic I think Peaches was deep in thought… she was a very emotional dog, and got very scared and upset when things got crazy at home… she often hid, and this pic was taken during a calm period, after a ‘stormy; session… 🙁

Baby, their Mother, and the girl I lost 2 years ago in June 🙁 She came with me when I left the Ex years back, the other two stayed with him, as it was impossible for me to take all 3. It still haunts me to this day that I had to leave them with him… 🙁 Breaks my heart and fills me so full of guilt….

Sorry for all the pics… guess I just couldnt help myself. These dogs WERE my life for many many years… I likely wouldnt be here today if it werent for them. Sorry for the crapp quality shots to, I have way better ones, but just didnt have the heart to go looking for them all.

Hope the brindle shots help ! Tigger was a beautiful dog, and be did bounce like a Tigger, lol! I would love to have anything you painted in a brindle scheme Melody ! 🙂

I got mine today, yah !!!

And I got the one I wanted, solid black !! How awesome is that !? Wolves are one of my fav all times animals, and solid black ones were always the most beautiful and mysterious to me 🙂 Im in LOVE with this guy! Now Im thinking a white or ivory one would go so nicely with him!

These pics dont do him justice… black is hard to photograph! Maybe if the sun cooperates one of these days I can get better pics 😀

His name is Coal 😛 Here are a few shots, some with flash, some without.

Its disturbing thats for sure… wow, sounds like you were VERY close to those shootings…. 🙁

Just read just now a group of 7 teens were around the local mall here, with sling shots… firing at buses and such…. caused a big uproar and panic….. cops all around with rifles, people thinking people were shot…

Man, stupid kids! They picked a good time to pull that crap ! Were trying to get themselves shot?

I just wanted to say I got my calendar the other day, and it is awesome! The front cover photo doesnt do it ANY justice, as the photos inside are amazing! I was a bit worried, as I thought maybe the pics inside would all be similar to the one on the cover… which, I honestly didnt care for all that much as it shows buildings and such… and wasnt really my thing… sorry 🙁 BUT when I got the calendar and looked through it, wow ! The winter snow scenes are my favorites, love those ! And you ahve some of animals, like a deer, horse, and that butterfly.. !

So yes, I am very happy with my calendar! The quality of the paper it is made of is exceptional as well, the paper is very thick and sturdy, not at all flimsy like some cheap calendars. It was worth every penny 🙂

Oh, and got my little prize owl also, he is just gorgeous! Thank you so much !! 😀

I am so totally stoked! When I saw these critters, I fell in love with the darker colored one at the very top of the shop photo and was just over the moon when I opened up my fox-box and there she was! (or one of her near-identical litter mates!) This fox is just so gorgeous and unlike any other that I have in my collection. I’m so happy with her!

Love love this color! Almost looks like he would melt in your hand… like chocolate 😛 Makes me wish I had gotten one now.

So so many beautiful wolves showing up! I do hope I fall in love with them like everyone else has been doing. I had planned on NOT getting one of these originally, as the sculpt really didnt appeal to me. But after seeing some class pics, I figured Id go for one.

Im just worried all the nice ones will be gone, lol! I am really liking the darker colored ones, and that white one with black spots is stunning, you got a awesome one there Big Daddy Wolfe !

Mine wont be here until next week sometime… and with the forecast calling for some major snowstorms… well, who knows, it may be later than expected…. I hate waiting :/ LOL !

That’s really odd. I don’t use GAC-100 so I can’t offer an opinion there. I do know that a thick layer of fully dried acrylic sometimes acts similar to a layer of plastic and causes subsequent layers to sort of bead or sit on top unevenly because they can’t absorb into the sculpture/canvas. If that’s the case, then patience is the key.

Ahhh, ok, so it IS normal, as yes, its exactly like trying to paint plastic ! Good thing I do have patience, lol! Thanks for clearing this up for me 🙂

Im guessing we have a handful of Windstone Collectors that have the cash to spend… and some who go in debt to get what they want. Paypal can be funded with your credit card by those willing to do so 😉

Thank you 😉 I find that the funnest part, adding in all the details to the feathers.

One issue Im having though, is the paint that is currently on her seems so glossy, that when I go to add details over top, it doesnt adhere properly, and wont go on evenly. Im not sure if this is normal, or if its from my use of GAC-100 or the retarder. Whatever the cause, it results in my having to painstakingly apply many thin layers over top of the base color to get the desired effects….its rather frustrating at times.

I knew that Koi Pond Uni would go for a pretty penny… its so unique and if more than one person “had to have him”, then it was going to be a bidding war, lol! That piece is like a grail piece !

Now this Winter Berry one…. she is my dream Uni…. I bid on her, but missed out. I should have tried harder to get her, as I cant get her out of my mind, and now Im sorry I didnt bid higher. She is the one I constantly kick myself over…. I wonder who ever got her ? 🙁

    Thank you 🙂

Wow, this is awesome your doing all this! I think all the pages look wonderful so far, and I have bookmarked them to keep them handy 😉

I will eventually send you some pics when I get some time, and some good shots 😛

Thanks for doing all this, its very much appreciated! I know a lot of work and time can go into making web pages like this, I had built my own website ages ago, and it was very tedious 😉

in reply to: 2015 Ebay Auction Picture Thread #925519

I bid also, way back near the beginning, just for the heck of it, lol! I knew I couldnt win him. I think he is beautiful ! I love his colors, and its the koi pond scene that makes him so special. Im guessing a lot of time went into painting him…. there is even a frog in that koi pond 🙂

in reply to: 2015 Ebay Auction Picture Thread #925510

The “Koi Pond” may not go as high as you would expect. I would guess closer to $950 (which is still a very good price).

Looks like I was right…. I guessed $1500.00 or more for the Koi Uni, and it went for a WHOPPING $2136.17 US !!!

    WOWZAS !!
