  • in reply to: Good Practice Ideas Before Painting a PYO? #881069

Thanks for the suggestions and the link! I’ll keep an eye out for ceramic figurines or something similar to practice on when I go to get the right sort of acrylic paints and supplies. The muses do look like they would be good practice, but with shipping and everything I would rather wait until I have experience and get a dragon or kirin.

I’ll probably wait until this batch of commissions is done, since the deadline is in two weeks and if I start drawing pokemon that is all I will want to draw! XD

Oh cool! And thank you. 😀

I’ve been meaning to finish that series of realistic eeveelutions, but I still haven’t gotten around to it.

    Thanks!

Animation is super fantastic, or at least I think so. 😉 Even if you cannot go to an animation school, there are lots of animation books that are a great resource, as well as a bunch of online sites as well if you ever do want to get into it as a hobby in the future.

Oh cool, I didn’t know that about the young rainbow dragons! I always thought it was one of the more common colours. Either way, I think he is very good looking.

I’ve had these four for quite a few years already ( I think every single one was a birthday or christmas gift when I was between the ages of 10-15). I never really considered collecting them up until recently, and I don’t really want a huge or super serious collection, just maybe a couple more that I really, really love.

I was trying to quote a reply on my earlier post and I failed. Just goes to show one should never post after hours outside in the sun. It mushed your brain.

I’ve got to say, I just absolutely love this last batch of grab bags, and I’ve had a blast browsing back through this thread and looking at them all.

Maybe by the time the next grab bag comes out I’ll have saved up enough to get myself one, whatever they may be! Super excited.

Oh man, everyone has such big collections! I’m very much envious!

I got a picture of all the pieces I own while I was getting pictures for the repairs section:

Haha, yup, that’s all! They were all gifts too. (Photobucket seems to be taking a while to resize pictures today, sorry if the pic is still too large).

Maybe I can save up enough with the extra summer commissions to buy one more once my birthday rolls around.

Thanks, your tutorial is indeed very informative! I’m glad my repairs are not nearly as daunting as that though!

I’m fairly sure we I have some elmers glue kicking around somewhere, and apoxie sculpt I can get pretty easy.

Just any old white glue? Will that be strong enough and last?

Yeah, I figured the kirin would be more difficult, since the chips are long lost.

Oh goodness, why are they so big? I promise I resized them earlier on photo bucket.
