That really stinks! I’m so sorry they are taking there grand ol time. I feel bad now that I’ve got mine but you didn’t get Yeller yet. What’s with that? Post pics when you get her!
WOW Megan that guy is BEAUTIFUL!! I am crossing my fingers that I get a grey with the pretty blue on it in this most recent Young batch – I love the greys!!
PS – you should totally submit one of those to the Photo Contest!! If you have a camera that takes better/larger images, definitely take more of those adorable poses!! I love them!
My phone is just convenient. I actually use my semi proffesional Canon for more serious pictures. Im no photographer (never really learned right) but LOVE taking pictures…Nice pictures. I recently played photographer this past june for one of my best friends. I let her borrow my horse for her engagement pictures. She wanted a mid-evil-ish look. Last minute the “ptoffesional” cancelled! Good thing I came prepared 😀 Ill have to send you the link. I think they are really cool cause the horse those pictures is actually mine <3.
I’d like to say that I would be happy to do the same. As Hannah stated in her post though, I cannot front the funds. Wish I could but I can’t. I plan on watching the store as often as I can. My profession is Domestic Godess so as long as my job doesn’t get in the way (dirty diaphers, kitchen duty, lost child…) I will certainly not be making the mistake of assuming anything! I hope I catch them too. I want one BAD! So bad in fact, I DID cry when I found out I had missed them yesterday! Anyway, I at least get great Internet connection via my iPhone. Refreshing the store page can be done virtually anywhere for me! As an added bonus, since it’s a smart phone, I can send out text messages alerting anyone who can at least carry there phones with them ( “for emergencies sake”, heehee) that “they are in the store “now”, while order for myself and others if I can ( if Susie is ok with that, but I currently already need to order for one other person). I can certainly “alert” by phone if that helps! If anyone would like to be put on a ” please text me for GBY” list, feel free to pm me! You can pm me your # and ill give you mine. I wouldn’t list it in a public thread though!
I don’t agree with how they are sold either. I think everyone at Windstone works hard and all of us obviously LOVE them for there hard work but it all turns into a free for all it seems. I swear that if they actually had a physical store where everyone who wanted one of a particular item could “appear”, people would be camped out two weeks before hand. Even then, it’s every man woman and child for themselves cause when the door opens, it would be one giant human stampeed! Similar to what some places go through every black Friday! Anyway, I think that the people who post more regularly and have expressed such interests in purchasing something that is so limited should have the option of prepaying . Look at the number of pictures of our newest GBB batch that were posted by their new proud Mamma’s/Pappa’s compared to the number in total that sold! Where are the rest of them? It seems many staulk the forum, and then buy our squeaks! I’m gonna stop there! I can see this getting taken the wrong way!
I’m going try again Monday! I can only hope to get one in time so if I do, I would be happy to send out alerts as soon as I see they’ve been posted, again, I’d also be happy to place additional orders for those who wish me to provided Susie gives the ok. 🙂scenceable and Hannah : *hugs*. You both have become such amazing people in my life. Just wish I could know you in person! At least we have the forum, email, and FB (and sometimes deviant art ;), I really need to update pictures there but kind of feel like I should wait until I finish my sculpture first). I think that why I was so upset, because I was camped out here all day! I didn’t even look at my sculpture today knowing that if I did, I’d get “involved”. I checked my settings on my email account and would have sworn that anything coming from Windstone was checked “not junk” but, just my luck!!! There, in my junk folder were TWO updates! That just blew me away especially since I got a message in my regular inbox from Windstone when the GBB became available! Oh well, can’t change what’s been done. I will for sure be refreshing the store on Monday. I hope that if they meraculously make it in the store sooner, the email will at least show up this time! I triple checked this time to make sure it would not go to junk…fingers crossed!

I have the youngs bookmarked on my phone and did refresh but I was mostly relying on both the forum and my email because there’s been so much hype about refreshing for store items, I’ve been afraid to do so too frequently because the last thing I need is for the system to block me. I’m Not very computer savvy and have no idea what auto refresh means so I’ve been playing it safe. My regular computer is the only one we have and it’s shared by the whole family…my husband, myself, and my 3 kids who play games on it. It’s memory is full and it’s so slow, and often crashes. I rarely use it anymore except to write emails ( not a big fan of the tiny keyboard on my phone).
Today however, I had the forum loaded on my phone and my computer! I kept looking under the “announcement” section because that’s where Suzie posted the new grab bag babies. I assumed she would do that again but then again, I should never have “assumed” anything and try not to most of the time.
I randomly would check for new posts under other threads and Hannah’s ETA GBY was one of them. I read some of the new comments but didn’t refresh it since I had last read through which was about an hour and a half before. After I got done emailing another forum member about a commissioned piece, I retyped the address, went to the store, and that’s when I noticed a new picture but it still said out of stock so (again : o) I assumed that it was going to be soon. I never dreamed it had already happened!
Then went back to the forum and saw the new thread for the change in price for the youngs and commented that I noticed and that there was a new pic…. 🙂
After that, I checked store again, still nothing, so I went to read the ETA gby and THAT’S when I started reading ” there here!!”, “got 2”, “yay, I got one too!”. Needless to say, I never finished reading them all, I went back to the store and again, nothing?????
Finally, I’m PANICED and frantic and when I went back to Hannahs thread, I refreshed again, and that’s when I read from Wampus (thank you) that they have come and gone.
I was literally shaking and so upset that while reading all the posts, none actually sunk in which explains my “how do you knows” and ” who saids” *shakes head and blushes in embarrassment*.Really sorry for this long a@$ post. I don’t usually write this much using my phone but it felt good to rant :p
I’m still upset about not getting a notification. I have checked several times since all this as well as every 5 minuets throughout the day but never got one! I did for the black gothics as well as for the last batch of babies.
It’s just frustrating ( as I’m sure all of us collectors get) when there’s something that has so much hype coming but no one knows when! You spend literally ALL DAY on the website waiting so your not left out. The waiting thing sucks. I don’t mind all that much except when you have to do nothing but constantly re read posts, threads, comments all day, for sometimes weeks, when it’s something like the grab bags.I personally am a hoofers fan! I love the dragons but it’s always been the unicorns for me. The only dragons I have are a few of the peacocks which belonged to my sister who recently passed away 🙁 (and actually expressed to me personally that she wants for for and only me to get her dragons before “she” does) and I had to “steal” them from the mistress of my brother in law (scum of the earth). Anyway, I don’t make much money and most goes into my horse which I only have by the skin of my teeth! What little extra I manage to save literally gets saved for a new windstone unicorn or Pegasus. I’ve never been able to get any other GB addition anything before the most recent baby batch and I only have the original production unicorn family, the now retired black uni family ,the white pegusus family, and the white and black gothic, and one black LP grand Pegasus (male???), still looking for the remaing family members. I literally cannot afford the eBay specials or the such so when something like the GB SPECIALS go into the store, at least the price is listed and know how much to save for. I now proudly own one GBB, and one PYO unicorn. Windstone Unicorns are truely my favorite thing on the planet ( other than my horse) that I have or could possibly want ( oh, and maybe a commissioned OOAK UNI by the wonderfully talented scenceable) and have been since I was 12 years old! I never wanted a windstone so badly before the youngs! It’s one of my favorite sculpts plus those colors…..WOW!
OK, OK, I’ll stop! Really sorry! Congrats to all who have gotten theirs! I really hope to get one when they are relleased again!

Yeah, But when? I kept checking my email and now that they’re all gone, I realized I just wasted my whole day checking my e-mail cause I never got a notice!!! I MADE SURE to click on the “notify when back in stock” button. In fact, I did that a couple times but I guess since the picture changed, it errased the outgoing notifications because of the chage in price or whatever.
IM shaking, thats how upset I am! I wanted one of thes SOOO badly!I don’t understand how I could have missed them! I never got an email and I kept logging into the store and never saw the out of stock change!!!!

Ive saved exactly the amount I needed for two plus shipping except now, I might have just enough with out shipping! Guess Ill just be getting one 🙁

So any guesses as to wheather they make it in the store tomorrow, or will it be Monday?I’m piggybacking on Dragon61’s post but I actually wanted to know what is easier to paint with. Also, could anyone explain what interference paint is, what it looks like, who makes it, and where to find it? I’m working on a sculpture now (a Ooak) and i love the way interference paint looks but have no idea what it really is!
How detailed can an airbrush be to use vs a paint brush? Thanks in advance to any advice!Regarding the youngs. I too am most interested in the same exact ones that Hannah listed…; (
They were my absolute favorite. I didn’t see any that Matched the color of my newest baby ( looks a lot like CHRISHERSELF’s gray and white paint on the trade forum except mine is all gray) but if there happens to be one, I will trade/buy!!! Paint or solid in that color with blue eyes if possible.
I’m also very interested in a solid black young with what ever color mane! Thanks so much in advanced. No matter what though, if I can get a young at all, I’ll post a picture for sure, or at least bug Hannah to help me again!Thank you!
