Sweet! Where did you find those pictures? Are they to-scale solar system models?
Greater Basilisk wrote:I’m pretty sure it does, I just can’t remember with what kinds of critters. It happens in humans…
Most (all?) mammals start out with dark blue-grey eyes as infants. Also, corvids (ravens, crows, etc) start with blue eyes! (Just found that out about corvids and saw pictures recently.)
Ooooo! Pretty!

YES.
Greater Basilisk wrote:Being your own boss is one of those wishful thoughts almost everybody seems to have. Is there anyone here who, if given the choice, would rather be an employee than have their own business?
I think I’d rather be an employee, mostly because I’m afraid the weight of responsibility in owning a business would give me a massive panic attack.
On the other hand, if my business was, say, drawing and selling my art on ebay or etsy or something, I think I’d handle that just fine.
Thank you all for your replies! I’m still not sure which piece I’ll be getting, but I think I’ll call in the morning and see what’s available. I feel like I’m getting an extra taste of Christmas… present for self? Yes please!
I’m getting a PYO soon, with my “play money” share from our tax return, but I don’t know yet which one. So, I’d love to hear from all of you…
Which PYO piece did you choose as your first? Why? If you could do-over, would you have picked a different piece, or the same one?

Also, I think I need to make a Robot Unicorn Attact custom My Little Pony now…
I think I love this.
Have you gotten your tablet yet? (Seeing as this thread is a couple months old)
I bought a Bamboo Pen (small size) over the summer because I’d never had a tablet at all, and wanted to try it out. I’m quite pleased with it, too. So much easier than mousing with my off-hand!
Does anyone remember the old school light pens, like they used to animate one of the Reading Rainbow stories? They showed the people using the pen after they’d read the story, and how it worked directly on the monitor… it was nowhere near as advanced and the artwork was pixel graphics, but I wanted one of those back then.
Jennifer wrote:Ah yes, sadly some cats really love the taste of Windstones. No one really knows why, but Melody has a collection of cat-chewed Windstones returned by customers.
Uh-oh. This is the first I’ve heard about it… now I need to go make sure my cats haven’t snacked on my boy!

ETA: No cat damage. Phew! Moved him to the no-kitty zone of my house as a precaution.

BTW – loving your My Little Pony collection 😉I agree, both about the awesome find and the ponies!

dragonmedley wrote:But as far as packing goes, I fail to see what good saran wrap would do
The packing saran type wrap is meant to be used to hold things together, like a sheets and pillowcases set, or to wrap around a drawer of art supplies so you can move the whole drawer without emptying it. I’m guessing some people just see that it’s a “packing supply” and assume that means it’s a form of padding?
Most of our return is going to bills, etc, but I might just buy myself a PYO… have to decide what I want… then I’ll have to spend more time deciding how to paint it… ^_^

(I will edit to add pictures once I take a few good ones!)

So, months later my brain is cooperating, and I’ll post the pics I took of my lurvly dragon. (Including some shots of his “flaws”)
The first few pics are meant simply to capture him from all sides. I so love irridescence!
This one shows the paint rubs and chipped tips of his horns and crest.
Paint rubs on wings.
Face shot!
