How long have you been collecting? I’ve beem lusting after Windstones since the early/mid-90s, but only got my first piece last June (2009)
How many do you have? I have 5, a male peacock and a male, mother, hatching, and young green (all of the greens need repairs, as soon as I’m confident of my skill with magic scupt)
What is your favorite piece in your collection? Sculpt-wise, the mother dragon, color-wise, my peacock male.
Anything really special you want but do not have yet? Soooo many things! Kirins and flap cats and the circle of cats candle lamp, and more dragons and… yeah…

Eeee! Cute! There are about a dozen raccoons on there right now.

    Poor, poor kitty.

I have 5 cats. One was a stray I brought home, one was a stray my friend adopted and then rehomed to me when she moved overseas, one was a stray my uncle found and rescued (and he’s not a cat person at all), one was the child of a rescued stray (and I’ve had her since wee kittenhood), and the last was a kitten when my neighbor asked if we wanted her, because she changed her mind about having a kitten.

If I thought there was room and that we had the resources for food, etc, I’d take in more off the streets. I don’t understand the mentality that allows hurting them, and I don’t understand people who say “oh, well, since you’re not doing well financially, why don’t you just get rid of some of them?” I fear that if I gave away one of my furkids, they could end up on the streets or in a home with abusive people… and to me, they really are my kids.

I hope they catch whoever tortured that cat BEFORE they harm again.

    *sniffle* Poor kitty!

And to think there are people who don’t understand why I insist on my cats being indoors only.

I love jewelry, but I don’t wear it! Weird.

Maybe your inner dragon loves the shiny and just wants to hoard it?

Your costume is terrific, Drag0n! Loved the pics! (Had to show them to my hubby-creature as well… he started mumbling something about making a Mandelorian costume)

I think I classify as a random newbie? I read more than I post, but I check the forums pretty much daily. Welcome to the forum!

in reply to: I WANNA SEE IT!!! #809496

Just went to the matinee this afternoon (in 3D)

Soooo good! Loved it, want to see it again (but that’ll probably have to wait a while), and totally buying it on DVD.

Hopefully you won’t have any aftershock from your procedure. My thyroid crapped out on me (took 18 months to diagnose the awesome list of increasingly severe symptoms I began to have) but I can probably blame that on the double whammy of anaesthetic rather than anything to do with having had my gallbladder removed.

Ugh, thyroid slacking off sucks. Haven’t had anything out, it just sort of… stopped working. So I get pills to do its job for it.

what?? you mean i’m NOT crazy and other people have it to? seriously? i’ve lived my whole life where all numbers/letters have a distinct color. i’ve never heard of it before. maybe its a creative person thing?

Yup, it’s real. And comes in many varieties. My sister has a friend who “sees” sound, so when she’s playing violin (which they both do) she can “see” whether the color is right in order to know if she’s hit the right note. The same girl also “sees” personality types as different colors or color combinations. I first found out about Synaesthesia from my sister, who told me about it because her friend was trying to follow me around… apparently my personal color scheme was really unusual.
