Oh, hey, sorry, I completely missed your post… it’s a little late now, but thanks for the offer! 🙂

I tend to be excruciatingly bad at keeping to one story. Over the course of several pages I generally dip into several, although this time my only story is Story… who is my main character… I’m kind of confused as to what’s going on at the moment, actually. Things are happening but only some of them are sanctioned. Yay for NaNoWriMo!!! I just have to have faith it will take me through the last 15,000 words. And then I can forget about ever writing anything again (until about two days after Dec 1st when the itch resumes). *grin*

I agree with Nam and Purplecat 100%.

I’m almost completely an atheist, and I saw the Chronicles of Narnia, and love the books. You don’t necessarily have to agree with the morals in order to enjoy a story. But then, that’s just my opinion.

Ah, well, in that case, maybe you can come up with something else. There is still plenty of time!

She sounds like a cool character!

That is awesome, Arlla. I think one of the best things about NaNoWriMo is not the fact that it’s about writing, but that it’s about making yourself do stuff. Good luck to your husband!

Eh, Pegasi, personally, I’d just go with the idea you had planned. As long as you aren’t just copy-pasting previously written material into the manuscript, I’d say it’s permissable to use something you’ve plotted already. Lots of people have outlines and whatnot that they prepared months beforehand…. and hey, it’s all about personal accomplishment, anyway, not about sticking to a set of rules. So I’d say as long as you aren’t using stuff already written out, it’s fine. 🙂

I’m at 4401 now. *presses onward* I think I need a nap. Good luck to everyone else!

I’M SO BEHIND ON MY WORDCOUNT IT’S SCARY. O___O

There’s another thread here about NaNo that we started for last year’s event, and I was wondering, how many folks are doin’ it again?

Yeah… I’m at 3000 and… I DON’T HAVE A PLOT AT ALL. This is sort of terrifying, since the last two years I’ve NaNo’d I had at least a general concept of a plot a good few months beforehand. And this time I haven’t got a thing. And I’m already 3k words into a story that doesn’t exist. Whooooao.

Those celtic names are so nice!

Personal pet peeve: When people take a ‘normal’ or common/conventional name and intentionally spell it weird to make it unique. They’re not making it unique- it sounds the same- they’re just making sure that it will always get spelled wrong and confuse people! 😆

My husband wanted to spell Ashley’s name: Ash5ley. The 5 being silent 😆 He’s a “thinking outside the box kinda guy”

Haha, well… that’s a way to ensure she’ll always have a screenname to use!

Do eeeeet! Pictures please very yes!

Warhammer is amazing. There is something gloriously enpowering to looking down at field upon field, rank up rank of tiny little models of robots and armymen and thinking, “These are all under my control, and cater to my every whim. BWAHAHAHAHA.”

… Or at least, that’s what I do.

😆 Somebody has played too much Tetris.

    Ahem. Anyway.

So if you line 4 of me up will I drop a giant metal slab on you?

That’s Tetris Attack, I was referring to the original (*coughcommunistcough*) kind.

YES. I corrupted his mind a while ago I think….

Hands down, one of my favorite artists! I’ve been reading that comic from the start. It just makes me very happy inside to see cats with machine guns and speakeasies.

By the way, she’s on deviantArt too: http://tracyjb.deviantart.com/ If you’re a member, it’s a good way to keep up with the comic without having to check the site regularly.

Wow, the man really listens to me…
    BWAHAHAHAHA.

Everyone, meet my warder. He’s fantastic. Hi Adam!

Wow, that’s exciting. I’ve never seen one that big, but I’ve heard of other people experiencing such things.

I have to say I like the soundtrack for the series that my husband and I found better than some of the books.

Teehee, the sountrack is ridiculous. 😆 It’s like rock ‘n’ roll trying to be an epic ballad.

It’s awful how much my inner fangirl is squealing right now. 🙂 They really sound like great folks, and those pictures are just fantastic! How wicked cool. I’ve been a fan of both Sonata Arctica and Nightwish for several years now and I can’t help it–fangirl! Aah! Marco’s beard makes me happy.

And hang on, when you say buckskin, do you mean as in leather?

in reply to: Robert Jordan??? #617680

    Thanks, Jasmine!

Gosh… I remember hearing he was sick, but I didn’t realize how extensively. I’m going to miss him–that series is one of my favorites… First Madeleine L’Engle, now this. I just hope Ursula K. LeGuin lives long enough for me to get a chance (somehow) to meet her… She is also getting up there if I recall correctly.

Waah, all my favorite writers are dying! It’s a good thing the written word is essentially immortal. But I do wish Jordan had gotten a chance to finish the series!
