Back with a couple of new sushi cats!

Thank you Wolflodge. Her stitches come out on Sunday. She got sick of laying around and cleaned half of the apartment yesterday…There was no stopping her. I think she is starting to feel much more energetic again. 🙂

I just like making animal/fantasy costumes – I enjoy the challenge of hiding a person in non-human anatomy. My only full-body suit is my Asian dragon, Fulcrum. It won best in show at Nan Desu Kan 2007 😀
It’s the one on the left, haha! I have all of the materials together to give this suit a much-needed upgrade.I am also working (if you could call gathering materials and dreaming “working”) on a tengu, a tauntaun, a gila monster, Guilmon from the Digimon series, and a baby Brontotherium quad suit. Sounds ambitious but it’s little more than a pile of fur and foam at this point! Costuming is really a lot of fun but time consuming. I’m settling for now in making animal costume pieces for sale on Etsy 🙂
There a few fun idea’s I’d had. I’d love to make a suit of Appa and my other crazy grand idea is a Mantis Shrimp. Some day…

It’s a sushi cat who look fabulous – but she’s eating subways, so her name is Sushi Sub. She came with a neat stone, too!

Instead, I got me a new sword:
Picture’s a bit blurry, but you can see the triskelion on the custom guard and the nice curved quillions. I’ve been using it for 3 weeks now and really liking it. It came from Castille Armory, if anyone is curious.
For those who don’t know (which I think is almost everyone since I don’t recall posting about it before), I’ve been doing historical fencing with a rapier for the past few years. I also have a small sword and we’ve played around with the Hutton saber. The style is French, though this session, we’re learning the Italian style.
Bonus question: Which Windstones can you spot?
OH fellow nerds unite! I lead a local Dagorhir/larping and boffering group and have been playing for several years!

I was able to ride into town on my bike (24 miles o.o ) and I’m gonna try my darndest to get both mine and Laundry2011’s out today, but I can’t guarantee, if not, they will be out on Thursday or Friday. This is due to the accident and tending after Mary. We’ve been at her cousins place resting.

She is very sore and spent most of yesterday sleeping. She’s really kinda down in the dumpsabout her car, but upon our further investigation, we realized the the other car was in a dip in the road so when Mary checked her blind spots, there really appeared by be noone there. Neither of them could of seen each other. It was really just a freak accident. Just so you guys know, if you try to pm her, you probably won’t hear back anytime soon. There’s no wifi where we are at and she usually browses Windstone over my shoulder anyways. I’ve been on my phone while we’re out here recuperating.

Wolfrott, have you tried getting a rolling over the table bed? Thats how I painted when I had all the seizures adn was bedridden myself three winters ago. I found one at staples for $70 and its still one of the most used surfaces in my home.
