I bid on that big fella too, he seems easy enough to patch up, since most of the damage is on the gold parts of the spikes. Good to know he’s going to another forum member, though!

Beautiful job Nam. Labradorite is one of my favorite minerals, that blue flash will look really nice in his necklace! I’d call him a cloud griffin, since you’ve already made a sun griffin 🙂

I asked the seller if there were any markings, artist signatures, etc. on the golden griffin and they said no, so this is a fake and not a repaint. If someone hasn’t let John know already, they should!

I e-mailed him and he said that he wanted to try and sell the dragons locally. This was a few weeks back, so they may be sold by now.

Mine looks pretty dark too with just an orangey mane, but so does the one on ebay and that one’s pretty shiny. Dark_zorse, do you have pics of your orientals anywhere? I don’t believe I’ve ever seen one with that many colors in the mane, it’d be neat to!

Hi! I have a peacock oriental that I’m currently fixing up, but I’ve seen another that’s listed on Ebay, and realized something. The auction dragon looks distinctively glossy to me, while mine has a matte finish to it. Were orientals produced like the early dragons, where they had a matte finish at first and were then made to be more glossy at a later time? Thanks!

Heehee, my hatching T. rex towers over most of my other babies too! And he is really heavy, so I try not to pick him up by the head for fear he’ll snap at the neck! Like the Stegosaurus and
Triceratops, he has this lovely green, blue, and purple interference paint on him. I think the hatching Velociraptor does too, but I’m still on the hunt for that one.
