Any Poad you make with wild cat markings, are Poads this household would love to have. But, we are limited to buying from the store only. Will never be able to afford ebay. And if they do hit the store, we never get the first batch because though we seek out that page tons of times during the day, the releases always come at the moment we take a break to eat or go to the bath. So several batches of these Poads (and anything you put in the store of course, casting issues understood but with hopes that can get nailed down soon enough) going into the store would be a super welcome sight. Same with Cheetah, Leopard (not Bengal cause we did that already), or even zebra too. We love watching some of the wild Poads you’ve ebayed and would have bought them if they were in the store.

Avatars and signatures are linked directly to the members names. So, whenever those change, they will change across the board for ALL the posts that member has ever made- ever (under that current name… doesn’t include old accounts someone had and forgot about and how to log in and had to create a new account, etc). Each time you post, your post count number will increase once. If you think about it too much, you can actually confuse yourself. I know sometimes Ive looked at the count and been like, “why is this number changing… or not changing?!?!”, depending on where my head is at and how confused I am! 😈
Once a person changes their signature photo or their avatar, you won’t know what they had previously. I know several people that are here enough they recognize who someone is simply by their avatar without looking at the name. Then when that person changes their avatar, everyone gets confused because they’re so use to making that connection! I like to change things off a lot but I haven’t been on here enough to get bored that quickly. I’d like to change once a month but we’ll see.

Well, the clarity suffered some but changing it to a gif and saving for web must be what I’d done previously. As long as it works, that’s fine with me!

I tried both. When I try to upload to forum from this computer, thats when I get the size restriction. But when I try to upload a new one from our ImageShack account which is where my current avatar is from, it tells me it’s invalid. I’ve tried all possible tags that image shack offers too such as the one that says “Forum” or “ALT Forum”. One of those is where my avatar is from and I just tried both here for a different avatar and it’s saying invalid. I hate being confuuuuused!

The current avatar I’m running right now (the only one I’ve ever run), is 100×100 in pixels which is what is allowed. But it’s also 84 KB. Meanwhile, when I try to upload another avatar in those specs, it says image is invalid and can only be between 1-9 KiB which is the size of a flea. I don’t see why my current avatar is running and I create another avatar in the same (if not a smidge smaller) specs, and now it won’t be accepted.
Ideas? This really shouldn’t be that hard!

It always freaks me out to see someone who is an athlete or otherwise exercised wisely, and then drops. As for death, I’m not afraid of it one bit. What scares me is any suffering that might come just prior to it. I’ve seen suffering in some close to me. In others close to me I’ve seen suffering and then seen death be a sweet release. But those are my experiences and I’m sure others are valid in their fears of death, for whatever reasons they may be. You can’t get around genetics however, anything in life in moderation (including the good stuff like exercise… don’t go nuts with it), and you should turn out alright, with a little luck from above as to avoid accidents and such. I’ve learned to overcome that one time fear of death, and learned that since I cannot change the inevitable, to rather except and embrace it. To look at it as something that will reveal some wondrous existence past this one; some new beginning as opposed to an ending. It’s how I keep my sanity and anxiety in check and it works for me.

I would pay to see that! If nothing else, you sound very caring and patient and thats a wonderful quality nowadays when more animals (especially less main stream) are neglected, abused or abandoned to meet poor fates. Way we see it, if vehemently loving animals is crazy or weird, then we’ll gladly hop to the front of that bus, kennel, carrier, pen, corral or cage. :yes:

Thats kind of the norm in our family, especially for cats and horses. At the moment, the dogs arent local but my cousin use to live (with her man) with over 40 dogs in the house (there was a reason and as an architect, he certainly designed the house and land to accommodate so many large dogs; no they were not breeders and never sold the dogs; they have either passed or are with various family members here and around the world, or working and when they retire, will go back to family members). But like I said, in our family, we have always been animal conscious if not insane about them. I can’t begin to tell you (you don’t want to hear it) the things some of us have done to help or save animals. So it takes a lot for me to consider someone else a stereotypical “crazy cat lady” at the end of the street. We live there already!

I’ll never let this thread die! Mwahha! But seriously Melody, with the Buckskin Kirins being on ebay at the moment, you know I’m going to squeak for any equine related Buckskin to come along (which is kirin related as the oriental unicorn). I’d even squeak for a Buckskin flap cat but the reason behind that is too confusing to explain (and rather personal to do on the forum; it’s not my info to share publicly). Can’t wait for them to go into the store (oh please?!)

Well, it did generate *some* publicity. When my friend saw that episode of Buffy, I remember she called me and said she wanted to come over to look at an old catalog I had laying around. That the unicorn the “bratty blonde vamp” (as she called Harmony which I have to agree) was holding a hot unicorn that looked familiar. She was right and when she saw the brochure, she went out and purchased numerous Windstone unicorns. I know she’d seen them before but for some reason, this jog on the show, made her have to have them. The worlds a huge place so if one person I know bought a Windstone based on that show, let alone one episode, then certainly more people in the Buffy watching world must have sought them out somehow. People are resourceful. And despite my not liking the comments in the script, they’ve got every right to say what they want and use whatever props they want too (or else they’d have to credit every little thing that is in every show we’ve ever watched). Props are props, even though we value Windstones way above that.

Holy cow, Licorice!!! I just noticed your avatar. My aunt has a Lynx Point (right?) Siam so very similar. Gorgeous!

“In Harm’s Way” is just one episode of Angel that shows the kirins and the white unicorns on her desk. There is another episode in that season very close to that one (next one or one after that), that shows them again.
Hidden Object Games (computer games) are always filled with Windstones, especially the Roaring Sentinel and various large owls. I keep forgetting to do screen caps.

Sorry to be quoting you again Wolfen (not stalking you)! But we have a Korat in the house and since no one knows what they are, they think he’s a Russian Blue. So we’ve been wanting Melody to paint flap cats in solid blue/grey. His eyes were orange when he was younger but as he has grown up some years, they have faded to a yellowish orange (more yellow but not that bright yellow like the original large Black peacock Flap). More a deep straw. But we’ll take orange!
