Here is a photo of Brishen (traditional sized Breyer) Highest point of mane is 8Â 3/8 inches high. And the Crystal Gypsy Vanner miniature of him. Highest point of the crystals mane is 3 1/8 inch high.
Suzanne-Marie, Loving that white Breyer circus set. That is another on my someday wish list.

Nightcrow, I think the Grey Othello you mention is actually one of mine. He is the 2007 Christmas Breyer Wintersong. I just remove all the Christmas stuff during most of the year as it is great at collecting dust that is hard to remove. I love the Othello sculpt as well. There is one NIB on eBay now.

I’m not sure how many years Breyer has done them but I have always gotten mine thru sellers on ebay. It seems to me that Breyer releases one each year. I know there is at least one other that I chose not to get. I’d guess that there is at least one on eBay now with Christmas coming up.

About the time I think I’ve found all the ones that I want, a new sculpt comes out. Or I see a custom paint job on a sculpt that I love.
Yes, I have always loved the grullas. When I was raising horses we did try a bit to breed for color, but never got any grullas even out of our grulla mares. Of course good temperament and confirmation was always the first consideration for us.
As for the shelves, they are aspen wood, 6 inches wide and about a foot longer than the window or door that they are above. So far I have never needed to use putty to keep any of the horses on them, but I do notice that a few of them seem to slowly creep towards the edge over a 6 month period. I dust them often enough that I place them back where they belong before any have made an actual escape attempt. I do like your putty idea for the couple that do creep along. Only bad thing about the shelves is that I am out of windows and doors!

I do know that the tail would need to be closer to the body to be workable as a sculpt. But I think it would be adorable!
