For me though the dogs I have always loved the most were the mastiff types.
Kieva, a few weeks after I brought her home from the rescue in Arizona.
Kieva (Cane Corso – Italian Mastiff), Svayaa (Boerboel – South African Mastiff) and Brinn (Cane Corso Cross)
Kieva and Brinn were both rescuses that I drove down to Arizona to save.

Just like Melody’s Grab Bags, they are all beautiful but some call to you and some don’t. I think what calls a person is very visceral and sometimes you’re not even sure what it is you like about sonething.
I try to paint things that are in colors that the “general public” seems to be drawn to but I try to do it in such a way that if it doesn’t sell, it will still be a piece that I would like to display. Some pieces that I paint I don’t really like but I take hope that it will sell from this forum. Just watch all the Grab Bags and how each of us finds different ones to love. It may take a while to sell but most usually do.
You do gorgeous work and your talent shines thru in each piece. Keep it up, even if just for your own pleasure.

I got in my last one and I love her so she’s a keeper.
And 3 of mine together. This morning I traded the green/silver one for a red/gold that should arrive next week.
The two on the right are in their forever home.
The one on the left I love but might be willing to trade if one of my top picks show up. I’d love to see more photos of the one in the top left corner of the class photo. That one or some similar to it are the ones I find myself most drawn to.
