When the horn issue is resolved, I would love to see Grand Unicorns painted in Melody’s “Black with Star” scheme. I think this would be a way around the “no more black Grand Unicorns” problem?
Hmm , thinking about it.
Or maybe like a ‘black ice’ scheme with blue eyes and maybe a touch of interference. If not though, I’m a fan of the black with star too, moreso than the white blaze, I think, so I’ll add my squeak to this.
Oh man, that Oceanic pegasus is sooo tempting!
Wow, SO cool!
I hadn’t heard of it, but now, well…
Me three! I’d love to see a pegasus in this scheme!
I got this lovely maple leaf griffin from Zloy, and he’s gorgeous! but I LOSE at uploading photos, and leaving my camera at my parents house after Christmas didn’t help much, either. I’m sorry for the terrible quality, too, I’m not much better at taking photos than I am at uploading them ^^; I just love his wings though–that blend from red to green is super cool! He’s perfect for me too–you don’t know how many leaves just like this I hoarde every fall until they dry up and make a mess in whatever book I’ve stashed them in. Now I have a beautiful griffin to remind me of them!
Thank you Zloy!
I had a young I got off of ebay with this same problem: in the picture the horn was there: arrived, and the horn was broken, but had signs that it had been glued before, so it was a previous break. I eventually got the nub of tang out of his head by dripping acetone into it with an eyedropper, then -very- carefully digging it out with the tip of an exacto knife. It took a few hours of patient side work while I had my full attention on another project. Every ten minutes, wiggle the horn nub out just a little more.
The hole in his head is now perhaps a little bit bigger than it was before, but I’m hoping to perhaps solder it back onto the main horn, file it back down to size, and reglue it in.
Thank you for the lovely card. I do love your very fluffy kirins very much, so it was a nice surprise
It’s sitting under my little tree now.
Thank you! *hug*
Tripod and shutter-delay-timer-thing are your friend.
*straps self to this bandwagon*
My internet is finally restored, and Freelance-Apocalypse week has abated (for now) so I should be able to get pictures of my pretty griffin from Zloy up soon!
Mine came! He had a little adventure and ended up down the street, but luckily the lady whos porch he ended up on knew my parents, and took it to their house, where they accepted it with some confusion, heh.
He’s a beautiful maple leaf griffin, but I can’t read the person’s forum name. Can’t show pictures right now, but I will asap.
Oh, cool, I like the dark forest one!
Bandit dragon!

I’d have to go for it. I think it’d be lovely on a grand pegasus or a male unicorn. or a baby pegasus or unicolt would be adorable…
