Both emerald and true jade orientals were called “jade”. Both emerald and jade (and everything in between as emerald varied quite a bit) western dragons were called “emerald”.

I think it was the Black Fire male kirin that most closely resembled the black-gold production color. I think they’re just calling this one black gold because it is literally black and gold.

I’d like to add a big SQUEAK for the black pearl color too! I was smitten with the curlie, but sadly unable to win it. I’d love to see any dragon in this color.

Yay! Thank you Wolfen! I still liked the functionality of the old forum better, but at least now I can make my item statuses stand out again. Thanks again!

Does anyone know how to make text a different color? I’d like to be able to visibly mark something once it’s sold. It’s one of the things I miss about the old forum…

It looks like I have an interested party in the griffin chicks. Is there anyone interested in the adults? I would really like to get the entire set sold so that I’m not tempted to replace any missing members.

I like the pintos in the last batch, and if another one is made, I’d like to see if I could get one. In the last batch, I got a teal-eyed palamino with a metallic coat, and it was so cool I couldn’t bear to trade it.

I just wanted to post some pictures of the latest commission I got from sceneable – a manticore! He’s quite different from her typical horse-like sculptures, but he is just as wonderful and just as detailed. The first picture is truer to his color, but the flash tends to obscure all his details. It is hard to get a picture that does him any kind of justice, but I tried.

Now that everyone’s bringing it up, I went and checked my gothic unicorn too. He has white specks and areas along his back, under his tail, and along the underside of his hind legs that look like the were over-sprayed with black instead of being painted black (the white shows through making the areas look brownish). I’m kind of torn about what to do. Black is a fairly easy color to fix and I have the ability to fix it, but I’ll be re-painting sections of him black, and I’m kind of afraid that will significantly ruin its value…

I guess I’m rather spoiled though. I have many excellently painted pieces that this just kind of glares at me. I just need to think about it some more.

Send him back! I’ll fix or replace him. I do intentionally shade the black in some areas because I don’t like stark black against stark white.
However that doesn’t excuse white specks. I think I know what may of caused the white spots, but I won’t be sure until we get one of these returned.
I have been noticing small clumps of loose gypsum that is somehow getting onto these pieces and is invisible against the white casting. We rinse everything off before painting, but that doesn’t always remove the clumps. When the piece is painted, it looks fine, but rubbing in the bag during shipping might dislodge these tiny clumps revealing white specs.

Susie took the initiative and contacted me about it even though I hadn’t emailed her. I thought about it and decided to exchange him out. The new one I got is perfect, and I’m very happy with him. I’m very impressed with the customer service I received. Thank you guys so much!

I like the more natural colors as well. Those and blue. I adore the sand color. I also love the Nutmeg curlie and hope that more will be made so I can get one as well.

However, I also feel the need to squeak for peacock curlies. My peacock collection won’t be complete without one.

The markings on these wolf griffins are still evolving. The stripes on the wings are difficult to paint, and I don’t think they add that much to the appearance anyway, so I was considering making the wing markings simpler. We’ll see what happens

Please, please, please make some “stipey” females the same way as the males are now before you change them. I really want to have a matching family…

Plus I like the stripey wings…
