Mine was late getting in the mail – work has been crazy and I was sick for most of the second half of October with that awful chest cold going around right after I got home from a NY Comic Con. The piece I painted should be arriving today, so here is Doodle, painted by Critterkeeper. I gave fairly free artist choice with some points of interest, with the artist’s inspiration of choice being a horse named Gypsy. Doodle is so stinkin’ cute and gives me ‘kawaii’ vibes. 💖 I love it! Thank you! 🥰
July 15, 2022 at 8:03 am in reply to: Young Qi-Lin – Grab Bag Edition – Koi 2022 show off thread #1660416I received this koi today. While it is very lovely with subtle pearly scale markings, tancho coloring is one of my least favorite koi colorings. So I am hoping to trade. Some of my favorites are posted in my previous post (link below). Only trade offers for another koi quilin considered. Not for sale (will keep if I do not find a trade). https://www.facebook.com/groups/2137058736412490/permalink/5296699557115043/
My favorite is 131 from the class photos. I am particularly partial to asagi, kin ki utsuri, and ochiba shiguri or similar colorings. I included a photo of some of the kois that particularly have caught my eye.
Your poads are absolutely lovely bodine! What a nice surprise and she fits in perfectly with your clutter!
Yay! I’m glad everything got to you safely, despite the shipping challenges this holiday season presented. I’m glad you are enjoying all the shinies and cookies! The stones are from my favorite metaphysical store (the owners are just lovely people and very knowledgeable – Tushita Heaven). Have a safe, happy, and fun 2021! ^_^
The Forum seems to have eaten my post from last night. I received my Secret Santa gift from Bodine yesterday! There was also a Superman pin included that didn’t make it into the pictures I took last night. The CD collection is Celtic instrumental music and the book is one I’ve wanted to read for a while. The bath salts and holiday candle will be nice for some self care. I love the little amethyst cluster and the little fairy that was attracted to it. The sweets will be nice as well (the sweet tarts lasted about 10 minutes!). Everything is lovely. Thank you Bodine!
My package to my swap person is on its way and looks to be on track to arrive Wednesday, Jan. 6 by UPS. Even UPS is running slow. I still haven’t received what I originally ordered for the swap at the beginning of January (from 4 hours away). It was last seen in a completely different state. I’m glad I made the new order and drove home to pick it up curbside instead to ship. That was still faster!
Happy Holidays, Ski!
I’m finally shipping mine out, but it’s going by UPS (I’ll eat the cost to ensure it arrives safely to avoid USPS). Everything I ordered weeks ago never arrived and still shows as not being scanned yet by the post office. 🙁 I purchase from that store all the time and it normally only takes 2 days to travel 4+ hours. 🙁 I literally had to order stuff and drive back home this weekend (the roads were sketchy as heck, but I made it!).
Bodine, I’ll send you the tracking number so you can share it with my recipient if you’d like.
Nothing received on this end, but I did receive a mystery teapot with infuser. I don’t know if it is from my swap santa or not, since there was no note with it and it came directly from the store. A myster-tea!
Oh, that kirin is beautiful!
With the mail service just to get something from a few hours away being painfully slow, I’m going to run home to pick up the last of my items curbside and just deliver my gifts and cards home a weekend earlier than expected, so I can ship out on Monday morning.
I have a few items I’m waiting for. Hoping I can mail on time (probably!), otherwise I may ship a day or two late. Otherwise, ready to go!
Some more photos of James and the leopard, Sir Spots-a-Lot, before he scampered off to his home.
I ordered two hippogriff colts. The leopard I received already went to a new home, as he said he wanted to be somewhere warmer, and a zebra trotted in to befriend my giraffe, James (as in Ironwood from RWBY). I think the Zebra is partial to Zira.
A few more photos that couldn’t fit in the previous posts. Definitely happy with my lovely little dragonlings. <3 Thank you, Melody! ^_^
I hoped for the 154 clone, but my second Bantam leftover is 15 original. There are elements of rainbow to it and, as it seems with all of the dragons I have gotten from this kickstarter, prettier in person. I am happy they flew my direction. 🙂
I was able to add two more Bantams from the leftovers. I was trying for a blue dragon and a green dragon. Here is 56B. It’s actually more of a teal in person, but photographs as more of a Caribbean blue.
Thanks Skylover and VS for your help! How did I miss that thread with the pictures? The dragon I was thinking of is 165 (with m 166 right next to it maybe being why I got confused about the amount of purple vs. green on it, haha). Did anyone here end up with it or its clone?
Angelika, I agree as well about liking so many – a good problem to have haha. And my ‘lava’ dragon does have a glow to it thanks to that deep purple-blue color. And the crystal ball, I love how it catches the light in photos and lights up the belly of these dragons.
Thanks again for the help, and to everyone for posting pictures of these lovelies!
I have the original of 165 (the clones look brighter than the original I think). It was a pain to photograph accurately. The purple has a hint of blue (blue purple interference?) and the green is softer in spots than I could photograph. It really does remind me of wisteria, or perhaps a hyacinth, in person. Photos are on page 14 of this thread. 🙂
And close-ups of 165 original. It really is softer in person and less saturated (the green especially is a bit softer). I think the clones ended up brighter than the original. It really does remind me of wisteria.
*squee!* :3
