Stephanie- that buckskin vanner is gorgeous.
Chris- that photo is adorable! What a pretty horse
I like this idea 😀 chocolate roan would be gorgeous! I imagine some of these, especially things with roan or dapples, would be super difficult to paint, but still. It’s fun to picspam.
I always save photos of horses, so these are just a bunch of random ones I had on my computer.
dapple greys! 😀
I know there’s been tons of appaloosas but this one is cool…
and this last one, I thought was pretty fun. I can’t tell if this is the coolest looking horse ever, or the ugliest!
yay for pretty horse picspam! *runs off*
Thanks guys! 🙂
since the eyes are glass, even if you get paint on them you can easily remove it with a bit of nail polish remover afterwards. Just put a bit on a brush and wipe the eyes down. 🙂
darker palomino and chestnut often look similar. I would just ask for a red one, mention chestnut, dark palomino, or the lighter bay colours and ask for photos 🙂 Appaloosas have the little tiny spots, and pintos have the larger blotchy spots. Good luck on your search! 😀
wow hannah she is pretty! Definitely not buckskin though, just bay. I like the white markings on her side. You going to trade her for another palomino? Hehe
Setsunawolf- Which one? The one on the left is a palomino frame overo pinto… the middle one (the baby) is chestnut pinto (not really overo though, not sure what I’d call that pattern) and the one on the right is a bay varnish appaloosa.
wow setsunawolf, your two are the prettiest I’ve seen so far! I love the appaloosa on that darker palomino. Gorgeous! And you have two of them, what a cute pair.
I also love cicada, that lighter buckskin colour is so pretty. Oberon is awesome! Beautiful unicorns everyone! 😀
I have some photos, they’re all indoor ones for now, I hope I can get some outside ones but I’m not sure yet. Also they’ll likely get cut off so here is the album: http://s888.photobucket.com/albums/ac81/evanescenceable/Hannah/
His name is Aiakos, palomino kirin with gold scales, about 6 inches from chest to bum, around 8 or 9 inches tall.
I like his face a lot, it’s my favourite part of him.
And then, I also have this white kirin, who is currently for sale on ebay. I posted him already in the non windstone flea market. His name is aphelion, he’s the same size as Aiakos (they make a cute pair actually)
Here are some of the two kirins:
Finally I have this blue and silver hippocampus. She was a commission, her name is “Eos”. She’s about a 4 inch size (chest to bum, if she was a horse) so she’s about 9 inches tall. The tail was fun to do, though the twists were hard to design. Had to have her balance and look nice at the same time.
So next up… I have a welsh cob portrait commission who still needs paint. He was slow to finish (he was commissioned before the orange bat winged horse) because the commissioner required several corrections to the anatomy and such. But he’s in the process of being painted. After that I have commissions for two forum members (griffinlover and adaneth) which are both in later stages of sculpting. Annddd after that I have a bunch of other stuff that is still in planning stages (a manticore for skylover, a tiger kirin for mmloda, a commission for a dapple grey arabian, etc) so lots of new stuff soon! 🙂
Thanks so much everyone! I use deviantart primarily for art stuff, my username there is scenceable as well… scenceable.deviantart.com 🙂
as for the eyes… I don’t think so. They are sort of sparkly so they glisten a bit, but they don’t really change colour.
I bought cyprus from skeeterdee. Then I have wisteria and adagio which were bought from the store. I’m too much of a hoarder to get rid or any 🙂
it would be cool to see some dapple greys for ebay… I think there have been a few but there’s so many variations you could do! And rose greys too!
those are all gorgeous! Caper is really pretty, one of my favourites of the first batch. And the palomino pinto one is really cute! 🙂
*flails* I just love her. The hair especially turned out great. I was staring at the photos for so long trying to locate all the crystals, hehe 🙂 She is stunning, wow. I’m sure she looks even better in person too!
Skylark is just beautiful. I was wondering who got that one! The other two are lovely as well!
Hannah, wow Grace is pretty. To be honest I’ve been “meh” with most of the palominos, especially the ones with blue or teal eyes. But the lighter palomino with the light blue eyes is really pretty. Comgrats! 😀
I tried to put in photos of stuff I already had photos of, I might edit in more later 😀
I collect…
My Little Pony… my first love, I have a whole ton of them, I think like 500+, mostly g1. Here’s some:
breyer horses! I only have a few. I have most of the racehorse ones, and most of the christmas ones, and a few others. I also collect the racehorse ornaments. Here’s a picture of the christmas ones, I will have to take one of the thoroughbreds.
Well, horse racing memorabilia in general actually, particularly anything zenyatta related. I have a whole ton of racing books and programs and random things like that.
Certain CDs… my favourite band is evanescence and I collect the singles and promos. I have started onto a few of my other favourite bands but am trying to restrain myself, I have enough stuff as it is! I also used to collect evanescence related magazine clippings, I have a huge binder full of them in fancy sheet protectors. Actually the reason I joined ebay in the first place was to buy back issues of magazines evanescene was in.
Here’s some! 🙂
artwork… particularly unicorns and horse sculptures or dolls. I have some half plush half clay dolls, and some fairies and other ooak clay dolls. I haven’t got into the bdj’s or other dolls yet though, which is probably a good thing. They’re so gorgeous though.
Here’s a photo of most of the collection. Sort of an odd assortment of things.
Windstones are actually quite a new collection for me! For a long time I refused to buy them because they’re expensive, but I’ve become totally hooked lately. For a while there I was happy with my little pony, which is great because most of those are fairly cheap. Now I’m back into art sculptures and have gotten into windstones, yikes.
Oh, and, Fred Stone plates. (Also a new collection) These fall into my general love for horse racing I think. I only have 4 stone plates and one by another artist. Luckily I haven’t become too obsessed with collecting these. I have them on a shelf living with some of my windstones.
I like this thread! It’s cool to see what others collect 😀
