I’ll also suggest reading some of MCA Hogarth’s (Micah Jaguar) write-ups on self publishing and general art business if you’re thinking of the self publishing route. I don’t think she makes bank either, but she has a lot of good resources available based on her experience as a writer/artist/small business owner that may have some tips that could help you.
February 13, 2015 at 2:30 am in reply to: Screen Printing / Vector Files / Half Tonight? Helllp! XD #925668OK! I’m surprised the printer isn’t able to make halftones themselves and are asking you to do it for them. There’s a simple way to do it in Photoshop, but each color is going to have to be a separate file, so when you get there, we’ll go through it.
Oh yes, she’s very pretty in her own right, she’s just not what I was hoping for.
OK, I’ll admit, this is the first time I’ve been actually disappointed to unwrap my GB. I had my heart set on a GSD colored wolf, but I got a gray one instead.
Below are some of the ones I’d like to trade for. I’ll list all of this in the trades section shortly.

XD #925627For a screen printer you could probably get away with a layered tif at the right size, a color on each layer, but it depends on the company. Logos ought to be done with a vector program to start with, because now that’s been made in Photoshop and they want an EPS, you’re going to be pulling your hair out, even if you had Illustrator to Livetrace it with.
Do you have any gradients in your file or is it all solid blocks of color? Can you throw it up on an image share site and link me to it so I can see it?
Yeah, I ordered one last night. I have a mighty need for a german shepherd one, so all y’all, if I don’t get one of those, and you do, I will need to trade. ๐
I like to hear what people think about this color.
I wanted to resurrect this question, because I’d still love to have one of those unicorns in this color!
Thanks guys!! I’m really crossing my fingers for him and hoping that tomorrow he might get to come home. ๐ Also; I might try that kibble-as-cereal trick haha! Casper loves his wet food, so I have no problems with him not eating it but the wetted kibble might be a great cost effective way for me to make sure he gets enough liquid, at least for one meal of his day. ๐
My 16-going-on-17 year old girl is a budding kidney cat and this is what I do with her food. I simply cannot afford to feed her canned food exclusively at the quality I’d prefer, so she gets an excellent dry kibble and I mix about a third of a can of Fancy Fest (kitty crack, I tell you) with some water and make a ‘cereal’ just as described. She loves it better than plain dry food and it’s a little easier on my wallet.
I think she may have even gained back some of the weight she lost. We’ll have to see when I get her scheduled for her bloodwork recheck.
Yes, come and join us!
I am really, really sorry about your loss. I hope you manage to find some comfort while you grieve.
OK, sorry, better late than never! Here’s the one I got!
I’m willing to trade her for black/silver/blue kitties.
I got mine today too, she’s the one in Kim’s photo diagonally to the right of her circled one. With the blue betta and gold back. Her front is a lovely purple. I’ll take some better pictures tomorrow, I had class tonight.
If she’s someone’s favorite, I’m willing to trade.
Dang, Rusti, I’m glad you’re ok!
Yeah, me too. It could have been a lot worse, like going through the windshield, but it didn’t. Getting it replaced Friday morning to the tune of my $250 deductible. I had to ask the lady at the glass place how much it would have cost if I hadn’t turned in a claim, curious as to whether or not my insurance was only going to pay $50 or so after my deductible, but turns out windshields for Mustangs are steep. She said it was going to be over $500.
Hoping I don’t have to call my insurance agent again for quite some time.
Passed a quarry truck going the opposite way on the way to work this morning. He chucked a big rock out of his trailer and it hit my windshield. Pretty sure I need a new windshield now, ain’t no patching gonna fix this one. Truck went by so fast all I can say was it was blue. No company name or anything.
Waiting for my insurance agent to call back so I can see if any of it will be covered or if I’m gonna have to pay out of pocket.
And I was in such a good mood on the way to work this morning too.
Greater Basilisk named her truck, and Rusti named her car too I think… I just call mine my teuf-teuf (even though my car’s not a putt-putt car at all).
Yep! My Ford Ranger was Half Pint and my current car, my Mustang is ‘Deo (Short for Amadeo, I can never be bothered saying the whole thing). The cars I drove that my parents bought, a few of them had names. The Dodge Cummins diesel was Ravage, there was Big Red and Little Red, both trucks, and Stupid Van, that vehicle you drive around as a right of passage in your last two years of school…
My sister names hers too. The Fit was Guido and her Toyota SUV is Patronus.
