Ski> It looks like he has both the jade colour and the brighter emerald! SWEET!
Man, I love the intense EmPeas…such a great combo of saturated colours. Pity Melody doesn’t like it as much. :
Y’know, when I saw the production wolf griffins I wasn’t sure if I liked them, but finally having one of the chicks and seeing him in person won me over. Very pretty.
My newer Windstones! Since I haven’t been able to go downstairs to my own room, this is just temporary quarters for them. Crouching grifflet is the newest, and you can see I started on my Muse…I need more paint, mreh. I want to make her colourful and gaudy, just like the shirts I like to wear! And the JourneyStone. ^.^
(The silver wolves on top of amethyst are a gift my best friend sent me from Nevada. His online character is a wolf, so I like to keep it as a reminder nearbye. Awww, mushy.)
This is going to be an odd griffin family. Black peacock father, pearl daughter, wolf brother, and the mother I had bought before I got the brother is also wolf. (She’s on layaway.) o.O I wonder where the gene for the white chick came from. XD
June 25, 2007 at 5:05 am in reply to: Behind the Screen- Real Photos of Windstone Collectors! #585990I realized that a) my face is at the same angle and has the same expression in both pics and b) I manage to have a bird with me in both pictures. 8D But that pretty much sums up who I am in a nutshell.
Working with raptors…heheh. It can be fun, frustrating, tiring, stressful, and gross, maybe all at the same time. Just make sure you aren’t squeemish about handling their food…rats and mice and such. Luckily at the center I was voulenteering at they don’t require you to handle rodent remains.
That, and almost all birds are pretty moody and have good days and bad days. It’s easier when my lovebird has a bad day…I can leave him alone to be emo in his cage…but at the rehab I do have to check up on some vital signs. o.o
And now, back to photos…
June 25, 2007 at 3:58 am in reply to: Behind the Screen- Real Photos of Windstone Collectors! #585988This photo is hot off the USB drive of my camera: It’s me, my new little wolf griffin Keenath that was a birthday gift from my parents, and my lovebird Gypsy on my shoulder. I think he was a bit scared off the griff. 🙁 (My brother took this photo…he…uh…wasn’t used to the camera.)
I’m slouching due to the fact that YES my foot is still in a boot so it’s pretty darn heavy and I look…pretty fat! I haven’t been able to walk properly for two months, all my muscle is probably going to my arms. XD
This was taken in December or so…J.R. the owl is a crankyburd (that and this was my first day on the job. He tell I was a newbie. XD) Hopefully once I get up and moving again I’ll be able to work with the raptors again. :>
You can see the top of my head in neither of those. 😐 You’re not missing anything.
Holy crud, I get a birthday thread!
Heehee, yes, I didn’t think I would get a gift Windstone that wasn’t a gift to myself, but my parents made up for the fact they couldn’t afford a momma griff (hard times on the parents right now) and got me the crouching wolf griffin chick. I was just headed here to post a photo of me holding him while my little bird looks on. XD
I also got my Muse and the “Healing” JourneyStone from Melody just a last week, so I kind of consider them birthday-ish gifts as well. :> I’m happy.
Thankyooooooooooooooooouuuu!
Ah man, are there any other Ursula Vernon fans imagining Digger, her wombat character, with wings right now? XD I…don’t think she’d like it.
I want this winged platypus necklace. O_O *loves platypi*
Ah man, I bet if folks like me and Quill advertised a PYO big cat with wings on the Lion King Fanart Archive and deviantArt to all those people with Lion King-inspired big cat critters, you’d guys would be out of PYO big cats so fast, it’d be crazy. XD And the world will be littered with neon-painted PYO keety Windstones. P:
I also gotta chime in for Dave- back before even this forum was around I’d buy Windstones from Astral Castle. It’s a great site in general. 😀
I can’t wait for the layaway period to be over for my mother griffin from Emerald, meself. *drools* Good things come to those who wait, rockerbot. 😀
starbreeze wrote:Yay!!! My Poad is here!! I love her blue eyes!! 😀
But I’d like to know, if Poads don’t reproduce, how do you get more Poads? 😕
And don’t anyone say “you have to wait for Melody to paint them” 😆
Well, Melody said in another thread or maybe one of the cards from the regular Butternuts that they were “living art”…so you’re probably not too far off. 😆
(Mimi, can you maybe find that post and back me up on this? XD)
AHHHH!
MY MUSE!
I didn’t even know when Melody was sending mine. D: But she’s HERE! With the Dixie Cup with purple flowers! My dad was taking the dog out for the last time of the night and he stumbled upon the package! He thought she was cute. :>
I put one of my lovebird’s tail feathers in her beak. 😀
*wanders to Maya’s forum to thank her, too…*
*comes in from gawking at the pictures*
As someone whose favourite colour is bright green…
LUV LUV LUV LUV LUV LUV LUV LUV!
I saw 23 when I first posted my message. o.O
You guys are fast.
THE METALLIC POADS ARE IN THE STORE!!!!!
No explanation required!!
😛
Good luck, Melody! I’m rootin’ for you guys! 😀
I love how you can say things like “mine has a dried lizard” so matter of factly, Melody. XD
*wonders if she still has some fortune cookie fortunes in her room…because she has no dried lizard*
Um, folks, you realize that Dixie cups come in all sizes? I had really little ones I used for rising my mouth out after brushing my teefs. XD
All Dixie cups are equal, but some are more equal than others. 😆
I was thinking it’d be fun to do random eye colours for each one- so the person who gets that Muse has to use their creativity to paint her to “match” (as if anything matches on a Muse). I dunno. Sounds like something they would do. P:
