*crawls back in hanging head in shame*
Was. It seems now she’s using her own pictures, which is good.
And I did get the feeling it was her, the style looked familiar and so did the HTML formatting. But I decided to not bring that up. I do realize I was being sort of a jerk for having a laugh over what could’ve been a simple mistake, but I’ve been on Snark forums for communities where anybody can join and see they got Snarked about (I’m surprised there has never been anything about me) and it’s not as if we haven’t laughed at an auction before even over things like names or knowing what’s peacock or what’s rainbow. Not to make y’all feel bad, but that was the general feeling I got from this forum; that a little fun-loving poke* isn’t that bad.
*which is allI usually do. My most common way of showing affection is teasing. Thankfully my father handles this well. 😀
I have to admit, when I first got my male griffin, I studied everything. Including the back of his front legs! 😀
I was just amazed you put ANY sort of detail there, myself. That, and inside the space between the back of his head and the backs of his semi-raised wings (below where the wings touch his head). I can’t imagine how tough that must’ve been to get any detail in those areas! Those long dental tools you use most help, though. 😆
The only thing that really made me go “HAAAY” was the lack of halluxes. XD But I forgeeve. And as for avian hindlegs on griffins/hippogriffs…you know 99% of the time I myself draw them with handlike foreclaws, myself. 😀 It’s only when I’m drawing someone else’s character or during the rare times I’m illustrating a character from my second universe that I get out the birduh books.
*pokes in realizing people are hating on her*
I just had a bad dream last night that I was still catching up on my school assignments and such from all the time I missed from things like my surgery back in 2006. The idea that you may not pass the current school year due to discovering more and more assignments that I’ve missed during my break is something that still chills me to the bones.
Don’t get serious illnesses, either mental or physical, folks.
Hello, head? Meet sand.
I’m going to go away for a while…
The reason it caught my attention was that the gallery photo WAS the bottom!
Kinda reminds me of the first Violet Wolf crouching griffin chick…I showed a friend the auction and she was all “D:” from the griffin mooning everybody.
The mighty Pan…and his Windstone felt pad. 😀
Poor kid. He’s beautiful! Take my word for it! Just look at how wondrous the pad is! 😀
I wouldn’t touch that auction with a ten foot pole.
*runs around in circles screaming*
I finished painting my Muse finally, but oh lawrd, I guess Missouri summers are too darn humid to spray finishes on, even in the morning! I usually spray things outside because I don’t want any fumes to get to my baby lovebird, Gypsy, so I didn’t really know what my choice was!
The finish of the spray finish, which is supposed to be a glossy glaze, is all grainy and cloudy. I’M GUESSING since it says “Do not spray under high humidity. If glaze looks cloudy…” UNDER ONE BULLET of instructions it’s the infamous Missouri humidity that did it.
I can spray it like…a THIRD time like the instructions say. But I want to ask first before I spray inside the house (on a seperate level of the house from my pets): Have any of you run into this before because of humidity? I know some of you live in much more humid places than Missouri. 🙁
*HOPES HOPES HOPES she can salvage…*
EDIT: It’s a Krylon acrylic finish, for those curious. I used a Krylon Satin finish on my gryphons and they worked AWESOME (mind you I spray fixed them in fall) and the thing said you can spray this stuff on plaster, so I figured I was safe. Maybe not? D:
Gryphon! Although I draw myself as a coyote nowadays I associate a lot with my fluffy golden-brown cougar gryphon Dakota. To put it shortly gryphons kinda symbolize what I wish I could be…at least the good traits. Strong, steadfast, noble, a loyal protector…and I appreciate the earthiness of the creatures, too. 😉
S’okay. I can’t get to my dragon downstairs right now, anyway, I’m still not walking properly on two feet yet. D:
I still have the original box (forgot if the plastic bag is still there) but he has no tag. (But someone asked about tags a few months ago on this forum and the consensus seemed to be nobody really cares about the things. P:
Take your time deciding! Neither me or the dragon is going anywhere.
Koishii, I have a O. Sun dragon in the exact same “Moon” colouring that I’m almost done touching up repairs (they were minor). I love him, I really do, but I think you may love him more…
If you want to work out a trade or something we can talk over PMs…
Saw Ratatouille last week and Transformers this weekend.
LOVE LOVE LOVE both. Ratatouille is basically what good animation, heck, any kind of good storytelling is supposed to be. Transformers- just fun!
Be careful bringing kids to Transformers, folks, unless you want to explain some…er…things…to them afterwards. XD I was laughing through the whole thing; you can tell they had a heckuva lot of fun making that.
LAWRD I LOVED THE PRESIDENT’S ONE LINE! Every time I think about it and his red socks I die. X)
I just saw this now…I’m in the middle of a logo/mascot commission right now, but if they’re still looking I’m perfectly capable of colour vector graphics. There’s a big difference for me between a “professional” client that will use the mascot as a recognizable emblem that will eventually make them money or just a smaller joint to me, and that does make me charge more. D:
If they’re still looking, I can PM you info.
Awww, man, I love painting the Muse! I’m goofing off with different techniques and paints with her in so many ways! The hardest thing has been keeping the areas of different textures and therefore for my Muse contrasting colours clean.
And yes, I’m one of the people that finds her ADORABLE. *is weird*
Griffiness, I see your black griffin likes to wear fuzzies on his head. 😀
(I love this forum. Dixie cups, fuzzies, 1,000 Russian Brides…)

You mean cliche. 🙄 Heaven forbid. 😉
I dunno, I could’ve sworn she did some winged fruit…
…or winged shoes (wait no that idea’s been done).
…Or maybe I’m just hallucinating things. XD
