I would love to squeak for more “Copper Rockfish” dragons! The Royal Hatchers that P.S. painted in this color were so beautiful! I would fall over from excitement if that coloration was used again on other pieces!
I have a favor to ask! Can someone post a picture of their Gold Old Warrior in natural lighting? I’m looking to see both versions -the old one with little to no violet and the newer one with lots of violet.
Since I find a lot of difficulty finding photos of these beauties, I can never seem to chose which one I like more! So if anyone gets a chance and can post pictures of theirs, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
I _think_ those are just regular dragons, but I’m not positive… The perspective is all weird due to the distance and angle. They _do_ look small compared to the wolf, but about the right size next to the young.
I completely understand! Size comparisons can look a bit wacky at different distances and angles… but I did notice something else that’s odd about one of the pieces! On what looks like the “Young” dragon in this picture, his tail wraps around the ride side of his body, when it should be going to the left. (Hmmm…. suspicious!)
Waaaaaaaait a second…. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think I just discovered something! In the photo of the ‘Blue Kestrel’ Griffin, I *think* I see a couple of Melody’s new dragon sculptures next to the Pebble Wolves!
At first I thought they were just the Fledgling and Young dragons, but after looking at them for a while, they appear to be different! I believe they’re actually Melody’s new “Baby Dragon” (looks just like the fledgling but younger) and the “Sitting Young Dragon” (about the size of the young dragon).
I think this only because the “Baby Dragon” looks way too small to be the Fledgling. He appears to be only a tiny bit taller than the Pebble Wolf that he’s sitting next to; when in reality, he should really be about twice the Wolf’s height! …THEN, I think the other dragon is really the “Sitting Young Dragon” and not the Young dragon because his face is looking forward and his wings are spread out further. –Until it’s confirmed or denied, here’s the picture I was looking at so you can check it out and see what you think!

I’m not saying it’s ugly by any means, I just think a warmer tone with that color dragon would have complimented it better. Maybe something like a lightly speckled realistic looking egg or something? I dunno. It’s just an odd contrast for me, the egg itself looks great, but just maybe not so much with this scheme.
I couldn’t agree with you more! Individually, the dragon and her egg are both wonderfully painted. But when combined, they seem to fall a bit short on fully bringing out each others beauty to its full potential. I bet there are a few other colors to use with the brindle coloring that could make us utterly speechless! 😉
I’m super-in-love with the Copper Rockfish dragons too!!! I was extremely fortunate to have won the Empress and I still can’t understand why her price didn’t skyrocket. I was all prepared to “break the bank” with her because her ‘tropical fish’ coloring reminds me of my mom (who passed away). We used to go to the beach often because she adored the ocean and all of its colorful fish and seashells! So as corny as this may sound, this little Hatcher really puts a smile on my face because I immediately think of her! 🙂
I really hope that P.S. can paint more dragons in this color -or in other fish-inspired colors! (I think this painting style is absolutely brilliant!)
It looks like you had such a beautiful wedding! Congratulations!!!
And your peacock/tree artwork is so outstanding and creative! Since you mentioned that you plan on coloring it, please post it here when it’s finished! I know so many of us would love to see it!They’re all so beautiful! I especially love the ones with fish patterns!
Welcome, Jequila!
Joining the forum is a WONDERFUL idea! Sure, there are some side-effects to looking at all the new Windstones here (such as having your jaw drop to the floor, moments of speechlessness, and the inability to stop drooling over our keyboards) but it’s all worth it! Before you know it, you’ll have beautiful pieces of your own that WE can drool over! Haha… 😉
Are they any particular sculptures/colors that you’re really wishing for?
*heart melts* Everyone’s Windstones are so beautiful! It’s amazing to see how fast and far our collections grow! (It’s so hard to pick favorites when they’re ALL simply amazing!)
Congratulations, Susie!!! I was just looking at his pictures on Facebook. He’s ABORABLE!!! 😀
Amy, I am so sorry to hear this….
