I think matte might look nice. Except for the eyes, nose and tongue. Those might be better served by gloss or satin. Lovely work on the sushi cat. Your blending is always so nice.

I wish I had seen this thread before I opened it and read it. Ugh. I did not contact the person though. I thought the 2 messages were kind of fishy looking.
Gonna go back and delete them now.
Edit: Though I did notice a private message I sent asking another forum member about the weird messages has been deleted. So that’s sort of upsetting.

This has been a great grab bag. So many of the pieces are really amazing and even the ‘average’ ones are great! In some of the previous grab bags I see a handful of pieces I hope I don’t get and only one or two that I really want. But this one was stellar. I would have been happy with any of the pieces (except for one). I am exceptionally happy I got a rainbow-y one with a kitty silhouette though. 😉

Here’s the little girl I got. Very happy that I got one with a kitty silhouette. Not sure if the pics did her justice or not though. Her face, chest and paws are noticeably holographic sparkle. I had to be careful with picture angles, she’d start to turn silvery in the front if I wasn’t careful.
I might consider trading, but it would have to be for one with bold colors.

The only space good for painting where I live right now is communal so I can’t hog it for extended periods of time. So between work and classes I have to take extended breaks between paint projects so I don’t annoy anyone. Especially since while they think the end results are pretty…I also get the impression they think it is a waste of time….
@StormDancer Thanks! Wyrmgear was a really fascinating Reaper miniature and really well done. Which is why I wanted to paint him so much. They also have a 5 headed dragon model that I want to paint SO bad! But I have to wait. I have a couple other projects ahead of that. One being an old peacock Emperor dragon I purchased from eBay to fix up and repaint.

But I’ll have to wait until next Tuesday (1/16). Living on the eastern side of the country is a rough wait when it comes to these grab bags. ;P

Just replace the greens with pale/new golds and orange. Perhaps a tiny hint of pale metallic yellow-green mottling mixed with the new gold. 🙂 Just idle thoughts. This piece is really beautiful. Wonderful work!
