I know the unicorn is a fairly smooth sculpt, but I still have to ask. Did you pencil the flower outlines in before painting? And if so, how did you manage to keep such steady lines over the little bumps of fur? I’m super impressed by the fine line work!

Make no mistake, I have enjoyed doing them. Working with the people who have commissioned me has been a fun experience. However, in the next year and half I hope to be in a job where the extra income from commissions will be unnecessary. I’ll finally be able to afford to move back into my own home and be self sufficient again!
After that point I will no longer offer commissions. I won’t stop painting sculpts, because its something I enjoy doing. Its just that I will no longer duplicate old paints schemes and can devote time to whatever new ideas pop into my head. But until that time comes I’ll continue to accept commissions because it helps me pay for classes. Thank you everyone.

You stick all your photos in one folder, pick settings and click “go.” Does them all in one swoop. Can smash a 10MB file down to 50K and still have the pics look good enough for the internet at 500 pix tall.
Thank you for mentioning this program! SO much easier. After angrily wrestling with my photo sizes this really helped me out!
I’ve finally managed to put all my PYO pics into the gallery. I already e-mailed that I gave permission, but now that I’ve finally updated my gallery I’ll repeat it here. I’ve also signed up on Instagram as prezaurian. At the moment I can’t post anything myself but later I’ll try that “Windowed” program Rylorien mentioned.

Was only able to post a couple images in my gallery after resizing them and then it cut me off. I’ll have to check out the expanded limit. Maybe I’ll actually be able to fit all my pics in. But it’ll take a lot of photo resizing before I can try.

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameDon’t let the fact that the production pieces are mainly airbrushed stop you from considering other ways of painting the PYOs. There have been many beautiful PYOs created by forum members using a lot of different methods of painting. There has been a forum member who used a dip method, some have used pastel powders, some pearl ex powders, some ink and many have used acrylic paint in washes or completely undiluted. I believe Melody (if I remember correctly) once did a piece (production piece I think) in gold leaf and a PYO in edible stains (tea, turmeric, etc). All of these pieces have been beautiful and amazing to look at.
Don’t hesitate to play around. And if you really want to try airbrushing, that’s great too! Look around the forum and pick the style of painting that attracts you the most and that you think you’ll have the most fun with. Its all a learning process to have fun with. 🙂
