I’m so excited for this swap. Mine needs just a few touch ups, a final coat of sealer, and eyes (and a picture sent to DM–better get on that, eh?). This is my best yet, and I’m sad to see it go, but I’m excited to see how my swapee likes it.

I’ve never felt strongly on the tags vs. no tags issue. I’ve kept all of the tags on the pieces that originally came with them – I fold them up underneath and they barely show if at all. Several of my pieces are from the time before tags (or felt pads even, for a few!), but I don’t think this affects their value. Whether or not a piece has a tag isn’t a dealbreaker for me when I’m looking to purchase. Actually, I consider having the original box to be more important if the piece is big and heavy.

I got mine on Valentine’s Day. He’s black with lichen although it looks more like lava because of the gold, yellow and orange. 🙂 He has a heart for a star, orange eyes and magic sparkle paint.

I don’t mind the picking out however you all want before the class picture and auctioning them off. I would like all the ones in the class picture to be available for a chance in the grab bag offer.
It would be awesome if Melody would raffle or grab bag off a commission now and then. The terms could be as loose or specific as she wanted to deal with.

Oooo..can’t wait. And for anybody on the fence, jump on over. It doesn’t matter how skilled you are. What matters is that you take the time to create a piece for someone else and as the foo pups proved, you can stain these beautiful sculptures or paint them. I love my swap pieces. 😉
