I don’t know what happened to the original post. Damn phone and forums not being mobile friendly.
I saw on Facebook and Twitter where Mercedes Lackey collapsed at Gen Con. Her blood pressure was in dangerous levels and “She is in & out of consciousness & lucidity, but has vision trouble, slurring, & hallucinations. She is improving, though.”
She is one of my favorite authors (even if I haven’t been able to read much by her in the last few years because life is in the way) and the news of her collapsing is just as devastating should the same ever happen to Melody. Her work and Melody’s work will always be intertwined to me as Melody’s gryphons are how I have always pictured Mercedes’ gryphons.
Can we please have a way to opt out of seeing signatures? I’ve seen a few that take up more space on the mobile screen than what the user types in a post.
I will look into this. Not sure if it will be possible. Another fix might be to just limit the length of signatures.

Pinch to zoom worked this morning. I could click and drag the insert window as well.
Thanks for getting rid of the buttons and putting the links back in the mobile menu. The buttons just took up too much “real estate”.Still can’t pinch and zoom. Tried on several different pages too.
Can’t logout and log back in because there is no logout link on the mobile version.
Pinch to zoom isn’t working for me. It didn’t work on the previous theme either that I can remember.
The scroll back and forth I’m referring to happens when you start vertical, click the button to insert a picture, rotate so you can read to insert, then rotate back to vertical while the insert picture box is still up. The box is locked into a position where you can’t do anything because the buttons are off the screen.
I have to say I’m not pleased with the new version of The Forum as it’s gotten extremely hard to maneuver Via Mobile which is the primary way I get online. Editing posts is a nightmare trying to add pictures is hard because if you turn your screen one way or the other you then can’t scroll left or right because it locks it. You can’t zoom in or out you can’t turn off signatures. It’s part of why I haven’t been online much. And it also appears the preview button is gone now.
Please get rid of or shrink the bar that appears on the bottom of the page – at least on mobile. It’s huge and not needed. And if you turn your phone horizontal when replying it covers the reply box completely.

I’ll squeak for more unicorn Colts in old black and old white. I missed them both due to no funds at the time of their release and by the time I had funds available they were gone.
After moving in five and a half years ago the bookshelves are back in order. We could use about twice as many shelves considering the fact that the books are mostly turned sideways in order to fit more books per shelf. We only had one book partially damaged by mice. We have a lot more fiction than I thought. I’m still pissed there are about 30 books missing that I know I had. I know who took them, and know that I don’t want to get those copies back from the person who took them.
I wish there was a program that let you trade in a physical copy of a book in exchange for a digital copy. That would make things so much easier and give us a lot more room.
