Personally, I’m torn between the Rainbow Lap dragon and the Black Sunset Male Griffin… How to decide??

(Not that I’ll get either, probably… but you never know! Last Christmas I got a Gold Lap!)

Wow, I love this idea!

I’d especially love it if they were actual cards! That way they’d be frame-able but also useable…

Not sure how feasible this would be, since Windstone probably doesn’t own a printshop and the cards might be easy to print, but I’d think envelopes might be harder to make…

Melody, I would LOVE to see this happen! Especially with some of the griffin and ki-rin sketches I’ve seen!

Haha, I just made a post almost exactly like this, without having seen yours. 🙂 I agree, I prefer Ocean Blue to the Sapphire test paint — I’d be willing to pay for the former, but the Sapphire just doesn’t draw me.

Hmmm. Having seen the Sapphire… it seems too uniform a blue, to me. Blue sapphires range from the color on the dragon to nearly black; I was picturing something with more variety of blues, and more yellow/gold than orange. More like the Ocean Blue, with the sandy/gold edges and patches, and the yellow eyes.

After thinking a bit, I think so. Mainly because I collect a retired color (White), so it would make it a lot easier to see when something was available… and the same for pieces in LP colors, like that BVP emperor I keep hoping for! 🙂 I bet lots of people would like to be able to see everything available in Amethyst all on one page, too.

I just ordered my first em-pea piece, a Lap Dragon, about a week ago, and when she came out of the box I nearly stopped breathing – SO much more beautiful than any picture! I was expecting something nice, but her colors just blow me away when they’re actually before my eyes. Wow. The depth and the metallic sheen! The blending, and the way the blues and greens both complement and blend!

This has happened to me before, too — I saw a Gold Mother at the Denvention vendor room and wanted to take her home on the spot she was so pretty. (The male, next to her, didn’t draw me nearly as strongly, though; it was something about the colors/shading on that particular sculpt that took it from “nice” to “Wow, want!”)
