Just saw the Ivory foxes, I love them! Gah, I am going to go broke buying all these lil guys, lol.

Not currently open for PYO commissions.I just finished about 230 fennec foxes in: ivory, sand fox, fennec (tan) and “misc” ( all the goof ups, which I painted like: maned wolves, red foxes, silver foxes, ferrets etc.).
They still need to be stamped. Now remember, this is a “no nitpicking edition”. These are the rag tag left over castings from the last batches I have painted, they don’t all look the same since they have been painted at different times, and almost every one will have some small glitch in the paint, or messy bottom, because they are pebble foxes.
That is how they roll.
Literally.I am SO so so excited for these guys, I don’t mind any small glitches and such, any pebbles are very welcome on my shelves!
P.S I had never heard of a maned wolf before, just looked it up! Learn something new everyday!

Not currently open for PYO commissions.I am painting fennec style foxes now. These are the remainder of the round-bottomed ones we had cast years ago. These will not have a pad.
I am painting these remaining round-bottomed fennecs in three colors: tan “fennec” color, “sand fox” color and “antique ivory”Future fennecs will have a flatter base so we will be able to put a nice, mess-hiding pad on the bottom.
The castings are now coming out really nice, so we are casting the other three foxes too: the bat-eared fox, red fox and arctic fox.
Oooh, this all makes me very happy to hear!

Not currently open for PYO commissions.HAHAHAHA! I love your demonstration pics! Intersting Idea! Sand wouldn’t work because the airbrush would blow it everywhere, but larger m & m sized things might work as a cradle …
I haven’t really tried using the method we’ve worked out, but I think our suction-cup holder will work,…it Still leaves a mark on the bottom though.
I’ve re-sculpted the Fennec to have a flatter bottom. If we can put pads on them, the marks on the bottom won’t be an issue. Problem solved.However, we still have a bunch of fennec castings with the round bottoms that I need to finish somehow.
These will probably be a “no-nitpicking” edition. Similar to a goof-up edition.I’ll totally take it! I gotta have me a Fennec no matter what, they’re so freaking cute!

I was thinking maybe she was a Windstone collector too or got some inspiration from here but would she be on the forum does anyone know? If not, that’s cool too but yeah it’s nice to see different artists’ pieces like this. I have collected unicorns since I was little but didn’t even know what kirins were until I saw the Windstone ones so was surprised to see other artists making their own versions. It’s cool!
Kirin’s are pretty popular in the art world from what I’ve found(And there are so many different visions of them which I find fascinating!), but I didn’t know too much about them until I got a how to draw dragons & fantasy creatures artbook and there was a small tutorial on a Kirin. That’s what sparked my initial love for the asian unicorn. And when I found the Windstone Kirin I ’bout exploded with joy!

Not currently open for PYO commissions.I went with pebbles because so many people had been asking for them and I found a stash of fennecs on a cart Melody told me I could steal from. 🙂 (For the quest, not for me – sadly ;))
Please feel free to throw out ideas on what kinds of prizes you’d like to see! I can at least usually influence what gets picked. 🙂
I love seeing pebbles as quest prizes as they are so hard to come by right now, unless of course you can afford the eBay prices. I’d also love seeing any pegasi, Kirin, or unicorn prizes as well! Specifically babies but I’d love to see any hoofers really, since they my favorite sculpts!
Oh oh! And any special baby pegasi especially! Since these guys never get to be grab bags(And I personally couldn’t afford the eBay pieces.) I’d love to see any tests/goof up baby pegasi as a prize!

That makes two of us. I’ve got my fingers crossed for some natural unicorn babies and EXTRA crossed for kirin babies later this year. These are really stunning, though, and I do look forward to seeing more close-up shots of them after people have purchased.
Oh yes, I do hope for some natural baby unis as well! I’ve got fingers and toes crossed for those GB Kirins!
