My poad arrived today and she’s a beautiful white & black leaf pattern with little berries(?) scattered about to make her look real wintry.
She’ll probably be up for trade, as I’m not fond of the leaf patterns and prefer more colorful poads. I was hoping to get one of the branch poads that would match the pattern on GBY Adapatation, so if anyone gets one and isn’t happy with it & wishes to trade or loves this particular one, please let me know.

Same here. I was wondering if everybody spent all their available cash on Black Friday and had none left for these beautiful adult poads or were simply “shopped out” from Black Friday.
I hope that they open them up for multiple quantities, since they didn’t sell out initially.
I can’t wait to see what I get.
There’s so many that I love that it’s hard to pick a favorite, but I see a few that would match Adaptation and would LOVE to be lucky enough to get them.
What a great Halloween collection! I’m glad that a forum member got Nevermore. He fits in well. I just love your poad with the bats! Was he a grab bag or ebay special?
Oh Wow! That’s gorgeous!!! Definitely does call up images of the southwest. The turquoise on the tail actually resembles tiny turqoise stones.
Agree. Exactly what I was thinking of with the colors of Native American Indian jewelry. There seems to be many people that love the turquoise blues & greens, coral reds and sand brown. I know what you mean about the old browns. I saw one on ebay that looked like it was studded with turqoise. Just beautiful. I was imagining a dragon predominantly colored in turqoise blue with accents in greens, terra cotta. Didn’t know if Melody or any of the other artists have experimented with those southwestern colors in any of the test paints. I’m fairly new to collecting Windstones (nearly a year), and still learning about some of the older pieces.
Have you ever painted a dragon in Southwestern color scheme (turquoise, orange, terra cotta)?
I love the new website design. Looks very sleek and sophisticated. Kudos!
What a gorgeous herd!!! If you’re running out of display space, they DO look great on the pool table! 8)
How cool! I wonder if they have been migrating from Illinois? When I was a teenager (long ago), we used to drive out to Argonne National Laboratory (where they did all the nuclear experimentation during the 50’s) to view the white deer that were roaming the forests there. The rumor was that they were deformed from radiation, but I found a fact sheet on how they came about living in Illinois.
“Visitors to Argonne National Laboratory-East are
sometimes startled by the white deer roaming the site
and occasionally speculate on the nature of the
experiment that produced their unusual coloring.
But the deer are perfectly normal fallow deer (Dama
dama), a naturally light-colored species native to North
Africa, Europe and parts of Asia. There are about 40 on
the Argonne site.Today’s herd began with eight or nine white deer that
Gustav Freund, inventor of “skinless” casings for hot
dogs, received or purchased from Chicago clothier
Maurice L. Rothschild. This small herd roamed Freund’s
country estate, part of the land that is now Argonne, and
grew to 38 deer.A heavy snowstorm in the late 1930s forced the deer to
forage in the estate’s fruit orchard. The Freunds
preferred fresh fruit to the deer, so many were given
away to parks and zoos. Those that remained were
destroyed by the local game warden. All, that is, except
two does. One gave birth to a buck, and the herd began
to grow in number again.Born a creamy tan with white spots, the deer become
white after reaching their first year.”Full pdf http://www.aps.anl.gov/Safety_and_Training/Training/Courses/esh100U/white_deer_fact_sheet.pdf
The one with the dolphin face, must be named “Flipper”
He’s adorable! He reminds me of the pig in the Geico commercials.
So sorry for your loss, Stephanie. I hope that Supai runs into my little Abysinnian Cherry over at Rainbow Bridge and says hi to her.
Somebody wrote a beautiful poem about “Rainbow Bridge” where pets wait to be reunited with their loved ones.
That site is registered to Windstone. If ever in doubt, you can use the Internet tool “Whois” to see who is the registered owner of any site.
http://whois.net/whois/windstoneeditions.net
You can see that the address is Windstone’s & it shows who’s hosting the website for Windstone.
There are lots of suffixes like .org, .net, .com, .edu, .biz, and often businesses register any commercial suffixes so that spoofers cannot take them to fool people that they’re legitimate.
Yes, here’s a close-up image of a wild donkey that shows the stiping on legs;

The Uni paint scheme is GORGEOUS! The branches painted on his sides look exactly like an oriental painting that I have. Just beautiful. Melody has outdone herself again!
